Kusum offers to help Sudesh to the bathroom, but Mangal insists he manage on his own, assuring Kusum everything is arranged. Kusum hesitantly agrees, and Mangal encourages Sudesh to try. Moments later, Sudesh screams in pain after accidentally turning on scalding hot water. Kusum and Mangal rush to the locked door in panic, trying to get him to open it.
Adit and Sowmya arrive, and Kusum begs Adit to help. Sowmya nervously hopes Sudesh doesn’t fall, prompting Kusum to snap at her for speaking negatively. Adit breaks the door and finds Sudesh unconscious and scalded. He glares at Mangal as they pull Sudesh out and begin treating his burns.
Despite Mangal’s attempts to explain she had turned off the geyser and checked everything, she faces harsh accusations from Adit and Sowmya. Kusum blames her, and Adit berates her, accusing her of sabotaging Sudesh’s recovery and comparing her to her estranged mother. Devastated, Mangal defends herself but ultimately decides to leave, saying she won’t try anymore. Sudesh weakly protests as she storms out.
Elsewhere, Kapil tells Pratima that Mangal’s life is her own and asks her not to interfere. Pratima, however, resolves to make Mangal realize her worth.
Back at home, Kusum stops Mangal from leaving. When Mangal insists she’s not at fault, Kusum shockingly wipes off her sindoor, warning that Sudesh must not learn Sowmya is the real daughter-in-law, as it could worsen his condition. Sowmya offers to help, but Kusum silences her, insisting Mangal is vital to Sudesh’s recovery. Despite Adit urging her to leave, Kusum stands firm: “To Sudesh, Mangal is everything.” Moved by Kusum’s plea, Mangal agrees to stay—at least until Sudesh recovers.
The episode ends.
