by swathi reddy

The episode opens with Jhanak placing an order for food, intending to get meals for both herself and Rishi. However, Rishi, appearing disinterested, declines to order anything for himself. Intrigued by his refusal, Jhanak inquires about the reason behind his lack of appetite. In response, Rishi curtly tells her that if she wishes to eat, she should do so quietly, asserting that he will do as he pleases. Jhanak, sensing his anger, comments that his current mood is likely the reason he is not hungry. Rishi, frustrated, questions her sense of shame, to which Jhanak retorts, asking what she has done to warrant such accusations. Rishi accuses her and her villagers of ruining his life.

Jhanak defends herself, insisting that she did not ruin his life. She reminds him that she has already stated the wedding holds no real significance, explaining that she married him to save him from a dire situation. She reassures him that she plans to remove her vermilion before entering his home and will return to her village afterward. Jhanak then urges Rishi to refrain from shouting at her in front of the driver, asking if he doesn’t trust her. Rishi bluntly replies that he does not trust her, adding that life is not a movie where everything resolves neatly.

As the conversation continues, Jhanak’s mood shifts when she sees the food has arrived. She encourages Rishi to join her for a meal, but he stubbornly refuses. Undeterred, Jhanak begins eating and remarks on how delicious the food is. Rishi, growing impatient, instructs the driver to speed up, eager to reach Kolkata as quickly as possible. The driver protests, stating that he cannot drive any faster, prompting Rishi to take the wheel himself. Despite the driver’s warnings to be cautious, Rishi accelerates, leading to a tense moment where he loses control of the car and crashes into a tree.

In the aftermath of the crash, Rishi realizes that Jhanak has lost consciousness. The driver, panicking, questions whether Rishi has killed her, reminding him that he had warned against reckless driving. Rishi, dismissing the driver’s concerns, insists that Jhanak is still breathing and attributes her condition to a loose seatbelt. As bystanders gather, they call the police for assistance. Rishi introduces himself to the police officer on the scene and requests help, then carries Jhanak to a jeep for transport.

Meanwhile, back in the village, Rani tries to comfort Nutan, who is in tears over Jhanak’s situation. Nutan laments that everyone has ruined Jhanak’s life, emphasizing her innocence in the matter. Dhamu arrives, expressing his shame over the events, and Mangal and Veer echo his sentiments. Sakhi suggests they obtain Rishi’s phone number to contact Jhanak. Dhamu takes Mangal and Veer away, while Nutan reflects on Jhanak’s dreams of education and worries that Jhanak’s fate may mirror her own past disappointments. She prays that Jhanak’s life will not be similarly marred.

At the hospital, Rishi admits Jhanak for treatment. As ward boys rush her to the emergency room, a police officer questions Rishi about the incident. Rishi explains that he lost control of the car in his haste, resulting in the crash. The officer inquires about his relationship with Jhanak, to which Rishi responds that she is a relative.

Inside the emergency room, the doctor examines Jhanak and informs the nurse that she may regain consciousness soon. When Jhanak finally wakes up, she expresses a strong desire to leave the hospital. The nurse, concerned, asks for her name, noting that Jhanak appears to be in pain and disoriented. The nurse reassures her that she will be alright.

Back in the village, Bua questions why Nutan is upset, given that Jhanak has married a man from the city. Kanka argues that Nutan should feel happy since Rishi is a government officer and the villagers contributed to the wedding costs. Sakhi interjects, asking why they harbor such animosity towards Jhanak, who is a daughter of their village. Kanka retorts that Jhanak’s father is from the city, which disqualifies her as a true daughter of the village. Rani admonishes Kanka to stop her disparaging remarks.

Meanwhile, Ishani confronts Pihu, urging her to regain her composure. Pihu, confused, asks why Ishani is present. Jeet, sensing tension, accuses Ishani of being jealous because he brought Pihu with him. He advises Ishani to leave, claiming it is Pihu’s day. Ishani, frustrated, threatens to call the police. Jeet counters by suggesting that Ishani should reveal her past to the authorities. Ishani insists she cannot allow her past to ruin Pihu’s life and tells Pihu that it is time to go home.

Pihu, though intoxicated, asserts her intelligence and questions Jeet about his prior knowledge of Ishani. Jeet promises to share Ishani’s story one day, while Ishani calls him a disgusting person. Pihu, angry, instructs Jeet to summon security to remove Ishani from the premises, chastising Ishani for ruining her celebration. Ishani threatens to inform Pralay about the situation, but Pihu stands firm, unafraid. Jeet tells Pihu to leave for the day, while Ishani reveals that Jeet attempted to manipulate her and ultimately ruined her life. She warns Jeet that she will not allow him to destroy Pihu’s future to save her own.

In the precap, Kanka ominously states that there is no guarantee Nutan will see Jhanak alive again, noting that the lamp has inexplicably extinguished itself, interpreting it as a bad omen. Meanwhile, the doctor continues to question Jhanak about the accident.
