The episode opens with Lakshmi struggling to remove the ring that Rishi had placed on her finger. A saleswoman suggests a special solution to help her take off the ring, and Lakshmi agrees to try it. The saleswoman warns Lakshmi not to inform the manager about her assistance, or she might be fired. Lakshmi agrees, but just then, Rishi arrives and reassures the saleswoman that the manager won’t blame her, insisting the fault lies with him. The saleswoman leaves shortly afterward.
Rishi steps in to help Lakshmi, but their attempts to remove the ring are unsuccessful, leading to Lakshmi injuring her hand in the process. Concerned, Rishi suggests they buy the ring first and tackle the removal later. Lakshmi firmly asserts that she doesn’t want to keep anything he gave her. Rishi presses her for an explanation regarding her behavior, and they exchange pointed comments.
Meanwhile, Neelam and Karishma confront Malishka in a room. When questioned, Malishka claims she doesn’t know who’s in there and insinuates it could be a thief. Taking her seriously, Neelam and Karishma pull Malishka out of the room and lock Balwinder inside. Balwinder, realizing he needs to find out the status of his “baby,” decides to stay put instead of escaping.
Back with Rishi and Lakshmi, Rishi expresses his belief that Lakshmi loves him, despite her protests. He notes her unwillingness to wear the ring but points out that she still wears the Mangalsutra, symbolizing their bond for seven lifetimes.
In a subplot, Neelam contacts the police to report a thief in the Oberoi mansion. Malishka chimes in, suggesting the thief should have already fled. Unfazed, Neelam decides to investigate the locked room herself.
Inside the room, Neelam, Karishma, and Malishka enter while Balwinder hides behind the bed. Seizing an opportunity while they are distracted, Balwinder slips out through the door. Neelam calls for the servants to catch the intruder.
Balwinder, now noticing his fake beard has come loose, grabs a curtain to cover his face as Mukesh tries to apprehend him. A scuffle ensues, with Balwinder hitting Mukesh to escape. Neelam and Karishma then find the fallen beard, leading them to suspect something’s amiss. Kiran attempts to catch Balwinder and, upon discovering his identity, realizes it’s him hiding his face.
Back at the center stage, Lakshmi tells Rishi that she doesn’t love him and he’s mistaken in his assumptions. Rishi challenges her remarks, but Lakshmi threatens to remove her Mangalsutra if he continues. Their disagreement escalates until Lakshmi storms off, overheard by Ayush and Shalu, who witness the tension between the couple.
Shalu expresses her concern to Ayush, revealing that she thinks Lakshmi is genuinely hurt despite Rishi’s recent proposal, which she had believed would mend their relationship. Ayush reassures her, suggesting they work together to reunite Rishi and Lakshmi, to which Shalu agrees.
Later, Ayush takes Shalu shopping for engagement rings, and an intrigued Anushka notices them together. Meanwhile, Kiran allows Balwinder to escape, but not before Neelam strikes him with a vase, prompting a loud cry of pain from him. Karishma suspects it’s Balwinder while Kiran insists otherwise, feigning injury in the process. Ultimately, Balwinder slips away from the Oberoi mansion, and Neelam wonders about the thief’s intentions.
As the episode wraps up, Shalu catches Ayush looking at her and feels shy, trying to leave. However, Ayush stops her and asks what’s bothering her. Shalu mentions that something seems different now, to which Ayush insists nothing has changed. She counters with her own remarks before finally leaving the scene, leaving the episode on a subtle yet intriguing note.
