The episode opens with Ashish receiving a text from Malishka. She instructs him to call the Oberoi mansion and demand ransom money, using an untraceable phone number. Ashish tells Leo to find such a phone. He declares that they will contact the Oberois to demand a ransom, revealing to Leo that they plan to make double the money—collecting from both the Oberoi family and Malishka. Leo agrees and departs.
Vijay informs the Oberoi family that, despite their discussions, he hasn’t found any leads. He inquires if there’s anything they haven’t shared or if they suspect anyone. Neelam expresses frustration, stating they should be out searching for Parvati instead of answering questions. Vijay reassures them that this is part of their procedure. Just then, the family’s landline rings.
They suspect it might be the kidnapper. Lakshmi offers to take the call, but Vijay advises against it, feeling she is too emotionally involved. He suggests Rishi answer instead. Lakshmi argues that it’s her daughter who’s missing.
Lakshmi picks up the phone. Ashish asks if he’s speaking to the Oberoi family. She confirms. He then asks if they want Parvati returned. Lakshmi responds affirmatively. Ashish instructs her to prepare to pay for Parvati’s return. Meanwhile, Malishka attempts to reach Ashish, who doesn’t respond because he’s on the phone with Lakshmi. She follows up with a message telling him to demand the money and hang up quickly, as the police are tracking his call. Reading this, Ashish demands Rs. 15 lakhs and assures them he will provide details on where to send the money later. He disconnects the call. Vijay observes that the kidnapper is shrewd for cutting off the call before it became traceable. Lakshmi asks Rishi if she can talk to Parvati. Rishi explains that the kidnapper ended the call.
Lakshmi urges Rishi to agree to the ransom, revealing that the kidnappers are asking for Rs. 15 lakhs. Rishi declines. Malishka questions his decision, but Lakshmi insists that she’s speaking with Rishi, not her.
Lakshmi pleads with Rishi, acknowledging that Rs. 15 lakhs is a hefty sum, but promises to repay him. Rishi, however, stands firm, asking for a chance to explain, but she doesn’t allow him to. Neelam steps in, telling Rishi to reconsider; she emphasizes that Rs. 15 lakhs is trivial compared to Parvati’s safety and threatens to pay it herself if he won’t. She insists that the Oberoi family has far more money than the kidnappers could ever imagine. Rishi still holds his ground, asserting they shouldn’t comply.
In the meantime, Ashish confides in Leo about the trouble Malishka is causing. Leo asks why, and Ashish recounts how she instructed him to demand ransom but later told him to end the call due to the police tracking it. Leo reassures Ashish that Malishka made a wise decision; had she not intervened, their location might have been determined. Ashish nods in agreement.
Ayush questions Rishi’s resistance to paying. Rishi explains that he’s been trying to communicate his concerns but no one has listened. He reminds them they are Oberois and notes that the kidnappers’ request for Rs. 15 lakhs suggests they may be inexperienced.
Ashish then decides to raise the ransom amount, confident they haven’t been tracked.
Lakshmi points out to Rishi that, regardless of the kidnappers’ skills, Rs. 15 lakhs could seem substantial to them. Vijay concurs. Tearfully, Lakshmi tells Rishi that she doesn’t care about the kidnappers’ competence; she just wants her daughter back. Rishi tries to soothe her.
