Cha Eun Woo and Moon Ga Young Reunite as Hosts for the Golden Disk Awards with Sung Si Kyung [Official]

Cha Eun Woo, Moon Ga Young, and Sung Si Kyung will join forces as hosts for the 39th Golden Disk Awards.

On November 4, the Golden Disk Awards secretariat announced that Sung Si Kyung, Cha Eun Woo, and Moon Ga Young will be the MCs for the event taking place on January 4-5, 2025, at the PayPay Dome in Fukuoka, Japan.

All three will take on hosting duties over the two days. Sung Si Kyung continues his long-standing connection as a Golden Disk MC for the ninth year, and his soothing voice is expected to guide the awards ceremony smoothly once again.

Cha Eun Woo returns as MC for the second consecutive year, having made his debut on stage last year, where he captivated audiences not only with his polished hosting skills but also with a special performance alongside Sung Si Kyung.

Moon Ga Young, who is joining the hosting lineup for the first time, adds excitement to this year’s Golden Disk Awards. Her impressive language skills are anticipated to engage with global K-pop fans. Fans are particularly eager to see Cha Eun Woo and Moon Ga Young reunite as hosts, as they previously starred together in the tvN drama “True Beauty.”

The 39th Golden Disk Awards will take place at the PayPay Dome in Fukuoka, Japan, on January 4 and 5, 2025. This marks the sixth time the awards ceremony will be held overseas and the second time in Japan, following the 26th Golden Disk Awards held at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka. The digital music category will be recognized on January 4, while the album category will be honored on January 5.

Details regarding the nominees for each category of the 39th Golden Disk Awards will be available on the official website and social media on December 2. The lineup of performances will also be revealed sequentially starting in early December.
