Fahmaan Khan Talks About His Relationship With Sumbul Touqeer, Current Track & About His Character
Fahmaan Khan, who is currently seen playing Aryan in Imlie shares that he loves doing action scenes. The actor, who replaced Gashmeer Mahajani in the show, also admitted that initially he was a bit skeptical but once he gave his nod, he was all heart for the role.
He says, “When I was offered this role, I was a bit sceptical but after the creative team convinced me that this was a grey character, I was all in it from the first day of shoot. And the rest is history. Apart from Aryan being grey, he is also an action guy, who will beat up goons and indulge in some heavy-duty stunts, I feel that too found a connect somewhere with audiences. I love doing action roles and am heavily inspired by Bollywood action films like Ghulam. You get beaten up and you hit at the same time, and the pain should look real, so I find action scenes challenging.”
Sharing how TV is driven by audience tastes and everything is bound by time and telecast issues, Fahmaan says, “In TV everyone is bound by time. In a film or a TV show you have all the time to work out a good plot, but in TV, you have to quickly think of newer ways if a particular plot hasn’t worked out.”
He shared on the current track when Malini is back in the show to take revenge. He said, “Many times, bringing another woman in the picture or interlinking a plot with a track in the past is done to bring newness, there is no intention to do something that is done before but it is possible that it might work or not work. Earlier there was a woman in the picture who entered as my friend and now it is Malini.”
The actor also shared how TV viewers like seeing conflict. And how the track is now focusing on getting Aryan and Imlie back together. He said, “After showing Aryan and Imlie’s love, they separated the couple, and now the track is focusing on how Cheeni is getting them back together.”
Fahmaan and Sumbul Touqeer, who play Aryan and Imlie share a great chemistry onscreen. Commenting on it, he said, “Sumbul and I have great chemistry because I love my characters Imlie, Rani (from my previous show) and when I have to romance, I am focused on it. I enjoy my friendship with Sumbul because there are no expectations and we are fully focused on giving best to the show.”
