Katha Ankahee 21st August 2023 Written Episode Update
The episode begins with Teji sharing her dream about Viaan’s wedding, leaving her feeling overwhelmed with where to start. Kavita reassures Teji that she will assist her. Kailash expresses his happiness and starts dancing, but unfortunately injures himself. Teji proposes organizing a Katha-Viaan engagement ceremony, to which Kailash insists on fixing the wedding date. This shocks and surprises both Katha and Viaan, who express their concerns about everything moving too quickly. However, Kailash dismisses their objections.
Teji suggests holding the engagement ceremony within three days. Aarav and Ehsan offer their involvement from both the groom and bride’s side, which Katha and Viaan perceive as betrayal. Kavita proposes following the tradition of having Viaan feed Katha a sweet, which Viaan willingly does.
Katha and Viaan appear to be joyful. Kavita and Kailash announce to everyone that Katha will be staying with them until she gets married, as she is their daughter. Ehsan tells Viaan that he won’t be able to see Katha for the next three days, which shocks Viaan but brings a smile to Katha’s face.
Teji confides in Maya about her fears regarding Katha and Viaan’s wedding, sending her a message. Maya instructs Teji to follow her orders and pretend to be happy. Later, the Garewals invite Katha with lively dhol music playing in the background. Kailash, Aarav, Yuvraj, and his daughters are also present. Katha looks elated. Yuvraj promises Katha to take care of her as his own sister, which brings tears to her eyes. Yuvraj joins the others in dancing joyfully.
Kavita takes Katha aside and expresses her happiness about Katha’s wedding. She also shares her regret with Katha about not accepting her marriage with Aditya and decides to make it up to her this time. Katha becomes emotional.
Kavita insistently offers the kangan to Katha, who initially refuses it. However, Kavita manages to convince Katha to accept it and makes a promise to her.
Over at Teji’s place, she expresses her concerns and unhappiness to Farah about having to attend Katha-Viaan’s engagement ceremony. She also does not want to give the family jewellery to Katha as a Shagun. Farah reminds her about Maya’s advice and encourages Teji to follow it.
Ehsan and Viaan discuss Viaan’s outfit for the engagement, but Viaan decides to head to the office. Ehsan stops him, instructing him not to leave the house for the next three days. Meanwhile, Vanya takes Katha’s laptop and informs her about Ehsan and his plan to prevent both Katha and Viaan from working for the next three days. Kavita expresses her approval of Vanya’s actions.
Meanwhile, Ehsan convinces Viaan to indulge in a beauty treatment. At the same time, Katha engages in a conversation with Kailash and Yuvraj about the necessary arrangements. Suddenly, Viaan calls Katha, catching Kailash’s attention. In order to provide privacy, Kailash makes up an excuse to leave with Yuvraj. Katha and Viaan share their families’ excitement with each other.
In addition, Viaan requests a coffee date with Katha and recites a shayari. However, Katha reminds them both about the importance of following the family’s rituals. Agreeing with Katha, Ehsan ends the call. Aarav empathizes with Katha and Viaan, who cannot fully enjoy their freedom. Later on, Vanya informs Katha that she has to visit the beauty parlour.
Aarav calls Viaan and asks him to pick up Katha from their house. Viaan agrees and lies to Ehsan, leaving the house. Katha and Viaan finally meet outside Katha’s house and realize that Aarav facilitated their meeting by leaving a note. Grinning, Katha and Viaan feel joyous.
Precap: In the upcoming episode, Katha confides in Viaan about her apprehensions regarding the rapid pace of recent events. Later, the couple is shown participating in a traditional religious ritual, taking vows around a sacred fire. Viaan assures Katha of his commitment.
