by swathi reddy

The episode opens with Jhanak expressing her desire to be alone for a while, prompting her to retreat inside the house. This moment sets the stage for rising tensions among the other characters. Kanka, concerned about the situation, advises Parashar to be wary of Nutan’s apparent theatrics. She insists that they should take action to remove Nutan from the village altogether. In a surprising twist, Parashar reveals that he has never actually married Nutan. He explains that he fabricated the story of their marriage to ensure Nutan could remain in the village, highlighting her past contributions to their lives. Parashar firmly tells Kanka that Nutan will continue to stay with them and urges her not to meddle in this matter.

Meanwhile, Ishani is busy finishing a beautiful rangoli design. Menka admires her work, complimenting its beauty. Aarav excitedly shares that he has received permission to attend a local fair, or ‘mela.’ Just then, Jeet arrives on his bike and spots Ishani. He approaches her, attempting to jog her memory about their previous encounter, during which he felt ignored. However, Ishani chooses to disregard him. In an impulsive act, Jeet disrupts her carefully crafted rangoli, leading Ishani to scold him. As she raises her hand to slap him, he catches her wrist, advising her not to let anger affect her health. Jeet then suggests that he could take Ishani for a ride on his bike, offering her a chance to hug him if she feels frightened. In a moment of defiance, Ishani slaps him and asserts that he deserves the reprimand.

Later, Ishani’s grandmother questions her involvement with Jeet, warning her of his dangerous nature and the potential consequences of crossing him. Ishani stands her ground, asserting that she is not afraid and has done nothing wrong, insisting that Jeet will not return to their house. Ambika, another family member, advises Ishani to cease her defiance, while Menka’s mother expresses hope that the situation will resolve positively.

In a parallel storyline, Aniruddh arrives home with a girl named Moon. Arshi, curious about Moon, engages her in conversation. Moon expresses a longing to return to her village, where her parents reside. As they discuss, Bablu interrupts with news that Apu is unwell. Anjana, another family member, inquires about Moon, and Choton asks her to introduce herself, but Moon declines. Mrinalini observes that Moon seems troubled and questions her about her parents. Moon reveals her deep sadness, stating that she misses her mother and wishes to reunite with her.

Shubhankar, noticing Moon’s presence, inquires about the project Aniruddh is working on and comments on Moon’s situation, implying that Aniruddh might be looking to adopt her. He expresses concern about allowing a stranger to stay in their home. In a shocking revelation, Aniruddh states that Moon has every right to be there because she is his and Arshi’s daughter. The family is taken aback by this unexpected announcement.

Arshi, bewildered, asks Aniruddh to clarify his statement. He insists that Moon is indeed their daughter, prompting Anjana to question how he knows this. She speculates whether Aniruddh encountered Jhanak in the village. Choton urges Aniruddh to tell the truth, and Aniruddh confirms that he brought Moon from Jhanak, asserting he has proof of her identity. When Arshi presses for details about his meeting with Jhanak, Aniruddh explains that he has no intention of seeing her again, as she is now married to someone else.

Arshi reflects on Jhanak’s choice to marry a man of her own social standing, expressing her disappointment that Jhanak, who once professed love for Aniruddh, ended up with another. Bablu suggests that Jhanak should not bear the burden of her circumstances alone and expresses happiness for her new marriage. Arshi, still skeptical, asks Aniruddh if he is certain about Moon’s identity. Aniruddh reassures her that they should care for Moon, acknowledging that she will need time to adjust to her new surroundings.

Shubhankar voices his distrust of Jhanak, but Aniruddh stands firm, confident in Moon’s identity. Anjana shifts the conversation, asking Moon what she would like to eat. In a poignant moment, Moon expresses her desire to see her mother, revealing that her name is Nutan. Aniruddh connects the dots, explaining that Jhanak lives under the name Nutan in the village. Choton expresses a wish to speak with Jhanak, but Aniruddh dismisses the idea, stating it is not feasible. Arshi, sensing Aniruddh’s lingering feelings, questions whether he feels betrayed by Jhanak’s marriage. Mrinalini intervenes, urging Arshi to drop the subject. Aniruddh reflects on how different things might have been had he known Jhanak was married.

In a flashback, we see a tender moment between Aniruddh and Jhanak in a guest house, where they share an intimate embrace and a kiss on her forehead, falling onto the bed together. Back in the present, Arshi confronts Aniruddh, accusing him of hiding something significant. Aniruddh insists that he has been transparent about everything.

In a separate scene at Simulboni, Parashar speaks with Nutan, informing her that the villagers are upset with her. Nutan responds with resignation, stating her intention to leave the village. Parashar inquires about her destination, but Nutan admits she is unsure where to go. She expresses her feelings of detachment, stating that she never considered Parashar her husband.
