The episode begins with Mimi warmly embracing her nephew Choton, expressing her happiness about his upcoming marriage. Choton reassures her that this will always be her home, regardless of the marriage. After their heartfelt moment, Arundati calls Choton to begin the haldi ceremony at an auspicious time. Choton tries to summon Jhanak, but Bipasha interjects, stating that Jhanak is not a married woman and shouldn’t be involved. Arshi adds that although Jhanak may want to participate, her previous marriage wasn’t genuine.
Arundati insists that Jhanak should stay away from the rituals, claiming that her presence would bring bad luck to Choton. Aniruddh questions Arundati’s harsh words, but she explains that Jhanak has faced strange troubles in the past, which could only happen to someone unlucky. Choton stands up for Jhanak, desiring her presence in his wedding rituals.
Meanwhile, Jimli asks Anindo why they aren’t getting married in a temple. Anindo scolds her for sharing their plans with Anuradha and states that there’s no priest available. He suggests they have a casual ceremony in front of friends instead. Jimli expresses that she isn’t feeling any excitement about the wedding. Anindo reassures her that they can always have another ceremony with their parents’ approval. As his friends discuss the first night, Jimli is taken aback by their comments.
Jimli tells Anindo that she didn’t expect him to act this way. He insists they should focus on their marriage before worrying about anything else. Anindo’s friend offers to play the marriage mantras, but Jimli refuses to marry that way. Annoyed, Anindo applies vermilion to her forehead while his friend suggests they eat. Jimli queries why they didn’t order food from a good restaurant instead.
Anindo encourages Jimli to at least try the food, stating he can’t waste her money. Jimli retorts that she eats much better food back in her neighborhood, prompting Anindo to suggest that she can just go back there. Upset, Jimli storms off. Anindo’s friend wonders if Jimli will leave with Anindo’s money, but Anindo brushes it off, stating that he has his cash and there’s no proof of any loan.
Anindo tries to win Jimli back, urging her to celebrate their wedding day rather than argue. She voices her doubt about whether Anindo would betray her, to which he insists he has no plans to do so.
In the midst of the haldi preparations, Jhanak assures Choton that she doesn’t feel disheartened by the accusations against her. Tanuja speculates on why Jhanak never married Vihaan, but Jhanak clarifies that her true marriage is with Aniruddh and expresses that she knows its significance. She also asserts that she has no expectations from this marriage, as it is Choton’s special day, and she intends to enjoy the haldi ceremony. Apu reminisces how Lalon would have addressed the situation had he been present, leading Jhanak to suggest a dance.
Vihaan expresses confusion over Aniruddh’s rejection of Jhanak. Aniruddh tells him to move past the past as he plans to leave after Choton’s wedding. Jhanak joins in the dancing with others.
Jimli becomes irritated upon seeing Anindo’s friends drinking, and she admonishes him not to drink. He reassures her that he won’t and dismisses his friends from the gathering, explaining he needs to prepare for visiting his parents the next day. One of his friends sarcastically suggests they know why Anindo is in such a hurry to go.
Srishti shares her concern with Arshi about the pain in Jhanak’s heart. Arshi snaps that Srishti seems to care very little about Jhanak, pointing out that Jhanak doesn’t even want to see her face. Srishti candidly admits her guilt for what she did to Jhanak. Amidst all this, Jhanak playfully applies haldi on the guests while dancing. Arshi pushes Jhanak to stop, reminding her of her impressive dancing skills. Jhanak playfully rebuffs her, saying she’ll dance whenever she wishes.
As Aniruddh applies haldi to Choton’s face, he accidentally collides with Jhanak, shocking everyone around them. Arshi observes this moment, reminding Aniruddh that it was bound to happen. Aniruddh defends himself, stating it was merely an accident. Arshi retorts that such occurrences won’t alter their marital status, so he should focus on enjoying Choton’s wedding. Aniruddh asks Vihaan to join him in dancing, prompting the group to follow suit. Bipasha then asks Jhanak if she will finally join in on the dancing, to which Jhanak coyly responds that she will dance only when she feels like it.
**Precap:** Bipasha expresses that Jhanak shouldn’t have returned home, while Arundati hints at the decisions Aniruddh may face. Suddenly, Arshi screams in pain.
