The episode opens with Parashar asking Pool to teach Nutan how to make baskets. Parashar encourages Nutan to take her time and learn the craft thoroughly, emphasizing the importance of patience and skill. Pool, observing Nutan’s demeanor, comments that she resembles a rich man’s daughter, suggesting that her upbringing may have shielded her from hard work. Parashar, however, finds himself captivated by Nutan’s beauty, a fact that does not go unnoticed by Pool.

Nutan, feeling the weight of their assumptions, firmly responds that her worth is not defined by wealth. She insists that her desire to learn basket-making is genuine and not tied to her social status. Pool, however, warns her that if she continues with her current attitude, she won’t be able to learn anything at all. Parashar interjects, reminding Nutan that Pool is like a sister to them, and he encourages her to apologize for her earlier behavior. Nutan, recognizing her misstep, offers her apologies to Pool, hoping to mend the moment.

Just then, Kanka arrives with Moon, her presence immediately shifting the atmosphere. She taunts Parashar for spending so much time with Nutan, insinuating that he should also be attentive to Bua and Fufa. Nutan, feeling defensive, explains that she is here to learn a skill that can benefit her. Parashar, frustrated by the villagers’ indifference towards Nutan, tries to stand up for her, but Kanka dismisses his concerns, accusing him of being blinded by his feelings for Nutan. She provocatively asks Nutan if Parashar returned home late at night or in the morning, implying something inappropriate.

Nutan, taken aback by Kanka’s insinuations, asks for clarification. Parashar, feeling the tension rise, warns Kanka not to overstep her boundaries. Kanka, unfazed, questions what he intends to do about it. Parashar reminds her of the time he saved her when she was pregnant with a city man’s child, pointing out that others had abandoned her during that crisis. Kanka, with a hint of bitterness, claims she thought Parashar loved her, to which he responds that it was her misunderstanding of his intentions.

Tears welling in her eyes, Kanka pleads with Parashar, but he firmly states that if he does not support her, no one else will. Kanka, feeling rejected, asks how he can speak so harshly in front of Nutan. Parashar counters that Kanka is the one speaking unnecessarily, and he tries to maintain his composure, knowing that his anger can be explosive. Pool, sensing the tension, redirects the conversation, encouraging Nutan to focus on her basket-making.

As Nutan watches the other women skillfully weaving baskets, she realizes the process is similar to work she has done before. Parashar offers to help her gather the necessary equipment, suggesting that she can also teach others. Nutan, feeling inspired, agrees, excited about the prospect of selling their baskets for a good price in the city. This idea sparks interest among the other women, who express their desire to learn from Nutan.

Meanwhile, Lalon is consumed by sorrow, wishing desperately that everything was just a bad dream. He confides in Bablu, expressing his reluctance to do anything other than spend time with Apu, his heart heavy with grief. Anjana, overhearing their conversation, urges Lalon to hold onto hope, assuring him that God will not be unfair to them. She then calls for Apu, who appears to join the conversation. Bablu suggests that Apu should stay with them for a few days, but Apu hesitates, feeling the weight of her responsibilities as Anuradha’s daughter-in-law.

Pulling Kajol aside, Apu confides her reluctance to return to the Bose household. Kajol reassures her, saying that she can always visit them. Anjana, understanding the bond Apu has formed with them, acknowledges that this affection is why Apu is hesitant to leave.

In a different part of the house, Arundati inquires about Anjana’s whereabouts. Tanuja informs her that Anjana and others have gone to Lalon’s house, revealing the heartbreaking news that Apu has cancer. The weight of this revelation strikes Arundati hard, and she questions why such a tragedy has befallen Apu. Shubhankar, overhearing the conversation, admonishes Tanuja for sharing such sensitive information with Arundati, but Tanuja insists that the truth cannot be hidden forever.

Laal arrives on the scene, and upon seeing Arundati’s distress, he comforts her with a hug. He reassures her that they will support Apu and ensure she receives the care she needs. However, Bipasha, feeling left out, begins to argue with them. Arundati, overwhelmed, asks Laal to take her inside, while Bipasha sarcastically points out that Laal supports Jhanak but neglects her. Laal, protective of his family, warns Bipasha not to speak ill of Jhanak. In response, Bipasha taunts Laal for not visiting Apu, prompting Arundati to tell her to be quiet. Frustrated, Bipasha storms off.

Choton and Mrinalini then enter Lalon’s house, and Apu greets them with a mix of concern and affection. Mrinalini brings chocolates for Apu, while Choton encourages her to eat fruits to stay healthy. Aniruddh suggests that they should take Apu to Mumbai for treatment, and Choton eagerly agrees to help with the expenses. Mrinalini urges Apu to remain positive and focus on her recovery, but Apu, ever the caregiver, worries about Lalon’s feelings, sensing his sadness.

In the midst of these emotional exchanges, Kanka hands Moon to Nutan, playfully asking Parashar when he plans to host a party. Parashar responds that he will throw a party the next day but notes that he hasn’t formally invited Kanka. Kanka, feigning disappointment, remarks that if her baby were alive, they would be playing together. Nutan, sensing Kanka’s pain, gives Moon back to her, emphasizing that Moon is like Kanka’s daughter and will be lucky to have the love of two mothers. She then asks Kanka if she would like to learn a new skill from her, but Kanka remains silent, lost in her thoughts. Parashar reassures Nutan that Kanka will indeed learn the new craft.
