The episode opens with Amruta attempting to sneak out of the Ahuja house, but Abhir, noticing a shadow, asks who’s there. When he turns on the lights, he finds Babita, who explains she woke up for a glass of water and questions why he’s awake at this hour. Abhir brushes it off and leaves, while Amruta hides from him.
Babita then confronts Amruta about her late-night plans. Amruta reveals she’s going for a DNA test, having obtained Virat’s hair sample to compare it with Babita’s blood, convinced this will prove that Ranvir is Virat. Upon hearing this, Babita expresses concern as Amruta departs from the house.
Meanwhile, Abhir can’t stop thinking about Amruta. Mandira approaches him with food, but he declines, stating he’s not hungry. Observing Abhir’s concern for Amruta, Mandira suggests that his worries indicate he still loves her. She reminds Abhir that Amruta still has feelings for Virat and urges him to move on, leaving him to ponder her words. Later, Abhir watches from the window as Amruta drives away.
At the lab, Amruta hands over the DNA samples at the reception. The receptionist informs her that the results will take time and suggests she return in the morning. Determined, Amruta decides to wait at the lab, where she soon falls asleep in a chair.
The next morning, she wakes up to see someone in a black hoodie. Startled, she asks who they are, but the figure quickly departs. The receptionist calls for her, and when Amruta receives the DNA report, she is disheartened to learn that the results are negative. Stepping aside, she reflects on her hope that Ranvir was Virat.
Meanwhile, Virat discovers a bracelet among his belongings and wonders where it came from.
Amruta soon encounters the mysterious person in the hoodie, only to find it’s Abhir playing coy. He teases her about Bhavani sending her on a “mission.” He looks over the DNA report and listens as Amruta expresses her disappointment, admitting that the results confirm their suspicions. He encourages her to move on with her life, while Manvi, also wearing a black hoodie, internally vows that Ranvir will always remain Ranvir.
Babita later reviews the DNA report and is in disbelief. She tells Amruta that they will seek the truth through other means. Amruta, feeling defeated, states she won’t pursue it any further. Babita, frustrated, questions if Amruta is giving up. Bhavani interjects, and Abhir asserts that as the son of the house, he’s decided there will be no more investigations. This angers Babita, who warns Abhir against trying to take Virat’s place. Upset, he leaves the room.
Abhir reflects on how his father always compared him to Virat, making him feel inadequate. Amruta finds him and offers comfort, advising him to spend more time with his mother as the episode comes to a close.
