The episode opens with Karan completing his Karwa Chauth fast in the hospital while the women at the Luthra house finish their rituals. Nidhi is in tears, prompting Kareena to express sympathy for her. Rajveer comforts Palki, stopping her from touching his feet and pulling her into a hug.
Karan notices Preeta moving her hand, and when she opens her eyes, his face lights up with joy. Karan expresses his gratitude to Karwa Maa for fulfilling his wish and tells Rakhi he will call back later before hanging up.
