The episode opens with Adit enthusiastically flying a kite, engaging in a friendly competition with Sudesh. However, Kusum begins to feel lightheaded, prompting Shanti to express concern for her well-being. Kusum admits that she hasn’t taken her blood pressure medication all day and decides to step away to remedy the situation. Meanwhile, Sowmya pretends to receive a phone call and discreetly positions her dupatta on a nail to create the illusion that she is in a corner before exiting.
As Kusum struggles with blurred vision, Sowmya, now disguised as Mangal, approaches her. Unable to clearly identify her, Kusum becomes frightened and backs away, falling to the floor. Sowmya feigns ignorance and asks who she is.
Mangal inquires about Kusum’s whereabouts, while Adit reminds Mangal to properly secure the firki to avoid cutting the kite’s thread. Mangal agrees. Sowmya, still in disguise, quickly sheds her saree and departs. She swaps her kite with Mangal’s, tampering with the manja.
Adit mentions to Akshat and Ishana that he’s feeling exhausted, and Mangal offers to fly the kite. Taking the tampered manja, Mangal accompanies Adit in flying the kite. Tragically, the manja strikes Kusum, injuring her and causing her to lose consciousness.
The Saxena family becomes anxious when they realize Kusum has been hurt. Adit carries her to her room, where a doctor assesses her condition. The doctor informs the family that Kusum’s blood pressure is exceptionally high, likely due to her missed medication, and prescribes her some medication before leaving. Mangal, puzzled by the severity of Kusum’s injury from just a touch of the manja, decides to investigate further.
Upon examining the manja, Mangal discovers it has glass powder on it. Adit feels guilty, believing Kusum’s injury is his fault. Mangal reassures him that it is not his mistake, highlighting the tampered manja as the real culprit. She shows Adit and the family the glass powder attached to the manja. Sowmya, overhearing, shifts the blame onto Mangal for using such a dangerous manja. Mangal defends herself, explaining that it was safe when she acquired it, but admits it had gone missing for a while.
In another storyline, Gayatri enters Raghuveer’s room and notices items belonging to his wife. When Raghuveer finds her there, he questions her presence. She claims to be searching for him due to a headache, prompting him to give her some medicine while warning her never to enter his room again. Gayatri agrees but later thanks him for withholding the truth from Lakshmi about her actions.
It’s revealed that Raghuveer secretly followed Gayatri’s goon and overheard their conversation. Raghuveer states that their primary focus is to get Karthik released from jail, and once that is accomplished, he will reveal everything to Lakshmi. Gayatri consents to this plan.
Later, Raghuveer informs Gayatri that Sanjana is aiding Jia, shocking her. He suggests they visit the Kalbhairav temple to put their next plan into motion.
Meanwhile, Sanjana concocts a story to send Lakshmi to the temple. Jia and her mother arrive at the temple, where Raghuveer, disguised as a babaji, inquires about the girl who’s been said to be haunted. Jia’s mother mentions that the girl is en route. Gayatri, observing from a distance, calls Lakshmi, who, having forgotten her phone at home, has Sanjana answer. When Gayatri mentions that Jia and her mother are already at the temple, Sanjana is left stunned by the revelation that Gayatri is alive.
Lakshmi then arrives at the temple, building suspense in the unfolding drama.
