Mangal appears with Kusum’s favorite dishes, warmly wishing her a happy birthday. Adit, caught off guard, questions Sowmya about forgetting the date, something Mangal always remembered. Sowmya brushes off the concern.
Mangal takes Kusum’s blessings. When asked if she remembered the birthday, Mangal confirms it. Adit follows with his own wishes and an apology. Kusum smiles and says even she had forgotten. Akshat remarks that no one brought a gift for Grandma. Kusum insists she doesn’t need any, but Mangal presents one—a Panchdhatu Maata Rani idol Kusum had once wished for. Overjoyed, Kusum lovingly places it in the mandir and performs a pooja, feeling deeply content.
Feeling guilty, Adit admits to Sowmya that Mangal made Kusum happy while he forgot the occasion. Sowmya responds that the day isn’t over and they can still plan something special.
Following the pooja, Sowmya wishes Kusum a happy birthday and announces a party for the evening. Though hesitant, Kusum agrees after some coaxing from Akshat and Sowmya. Privately, Sowmya smirks, thinking this will help get Mangal thrown out of the house. As preparations begin, a decorator seeks Sowmya’s approval. She nods, then quietly takes a red balloon from him—intended for her secret scheme against Mangal.
When Mangal notices Akshat isn’t dressed yet, he tells her he’s working on a gift and needs a photo of Kusum. Mangal offers to get the album from the storeroom. Meanwhile, Sowmya fills a red balloon with glass shards, thinking, This special balloon is for you, Mangal. Mangal enters the storeroom and finds books scattered around. Wondering why, she begins tidying up as Sowmya hides nearby. Mangal retrieves the photo album and leaves. Sowmya exhales in relief.
As guests arrive, Santhi and Lipika greet Kusum. Santhi admits she came only because Mangal insisted. Lipika spots Kapil and his mother entering. Santhi is impressed by Kapil’s appearance. Mangal welcomes Pratima and Kapil, who both wish Kusum well. Santhi asks for an introduction, and Mangal introduces her to Pratima. Pratima praises Mangal, calling her a diamond, and Santhi thanks them for their support. Kapil adds that Mangal is independent and self-reliant. Adit joins in, asking Sowmya to play music. She agrees, silently anticipating Mangal’s downfall.
Meanwhile, Akshat presents a handmade greeting card to Kusum, who is touched. He then brings out a bunch of red balloons. When Kusum asks about them, Sowmya grows visibly anxious. Akshat explains they’re for a game—each balloon contains a chit, and whoever pops one must complete the task inside. Panic creeps in for Sowmya, realizing her dangerous balloon might accidentally harm someone else.
