by swathi reddy

The episode opens with Mangal standing before Sowmya, who is under scrutiny for her actions. Mangal poses a pointed question, asking Sowmya if she has anything left to say in her defense. Sowmya, feeling cornered, expresses her ignorance about the significance of the ritual, specifically the Suhagan Pooja, and offers her apologies to Kusum and Adit. However, Adit, overwhelmed with anger and disappointment, turns away from her, unable to contain his frustration. Sowmya, desperate to explain herself, follows him to his room, insisting that she genuinely did not understand the nature of the ceremony. Adit, however, confronts her with accusations, revealing his recognition of her handwriting and asserting that it was indeed her mistake that led to this situation. He expresses his disdain for her attempts to shift the blame and makes it clear that he cannot bear to look at her at that moment, turning his back on her.

Meanwhile, Mangal is consumed with emotion as she confides in Kusum about her feelings of longing for the family. She expresses a deep yearning, praying to Maata Rani daily for the misunderstandings within the family to be resolved, hoping that one day they will love her as they once did. After sharing her heartfelt sentiments, she quietly leaves, leaving Kusum to reflect on her words.

As the day progresses, Sowmya attempts once more to defend her actions in front of Adit. She recalls a recent incident where he forgot Kusum’s birthday and explains that her intentions were good; she had registered Kusum’s name for the pooja with hopes of honoring her mother’s love for rituals. Sowmya admits her lack of belief in rituals but emphasizes her desire to learn and do better. She notes that while Kusum taught Mangal everything about these traditions, she feels lost without guidance. Sowmya acknowledges her mistake, pleading for forgiveness and pointing out the hypocrisy in how Mangal is treated compared to her own situation. She highlights Mangal’s past and the tragedy surrounding Sudesh’s death, questioning why she is not afforded the same understanding despite her small error. Adit remains silent, leaving Sowmya to walk away in tears, feeling unheard and unappreciated.

In a poignant moment, Kusum is seen holding a photo of Sudesh, tears streaming down her face as she prays to Maata Rani for guidance. Mangal, meanwhile, tries to light a diya, but the wind extinguishes the flame repeatedly, leading her to believe it may be a sign of impending danger. She gazes at Sudesh’s photo, pleading for divine intervention to help her prove her innocence regarding his death. Suddenly, a strong gust of wind knocks the garland off the photo, prompting Mangal to rush forward to catch the falling frame. In her haste, she accidentally breaks a vase, the loud crash startling Kusum, who rushes to investigate. In her haste, Kusum slips and injures her head, blood trickling from the wound and mingling with her hair, reminiscent of sindoor. Despite the chaos, Mangal manages to save Sudesh’s photo from hitting the ground.

Elsewhere, Sudesh is depicted struggling to pull a handcart loaded with packets. He stumbles and falls due to a rock obstructing his path, highlighting his vulnerability. Back at home, Kusum shares with Adit her dream about Sudesh, feeling that he was trying to communicate something important. Mangal, concerned, asks what Sudesh conveyed, but Sowmya interrupts with a sarcastic remark, blaming Mangal for Kusum’s distress. Adit, caught in the middle, urges Sowmya to refrain from creating a scene, as he tries to calm his mother. Sowmya, feeling dismissed, walks away, prompting Mangal to follow her.

Mangal confronts Sowmya, accusing her of using Mangal’s phone to send a message to Sudesh. She warns Sowmya that the truth will soon come to light, urging her to fear God, who knows everything. Sowmya dismisses Mangal’s accusations, telling her to mind her own affairs. When Adit approaches, Sowmya quickly shifts the topic, while Mangal, wishing to avoid further confrontation, expresses her concern for Amma and walks away.

Later, Mangal receives a call from Kapil, who notices her subdued tone and inquires about her well-being. Mangal reveals that Kusum’s health is deteriorating, and Kapil informs her of a meeting scheduled for the following day, to which Mangal agrees to attend.

The next day, while shopping for essentials, Mangal witnesses a man yelling at an elderly person, forcing him to work against his will. Mangal rushes to defend the old man, but by the time she arrives, the aggressor has already left. Just then, Akshat calls, urging Mangal to return home for the Shanti Pooja organized in Sudesh’s memory. Sowmya takes the phone from Mangal, taunting her and suggesting that the household is more peaceful without her presence.

As Mangal turns to leave, she spots the same elderly man struggling with a handcart. Rushing to assist him, she is shocked to discover that it is Sudesh, alive but injured. The revelation leaves her stunned, setting the stage for the unfolding drama.
