Upcoming Netflix fantasy romance drama Men of The Harem (working title) has hit a major production turn as co-star Lee Soo hyuk officially steps down from the project mid-filming.
Scheduling Conflicts Lead to Departure

According to industry insiders, Lee Soo hyuk recently concluded his participation in Men of The Harem. Having initially joined the project last year and filmed select early scenes, the actor ultimately made the decision to exit the production.
Addressing the news, Lee Soo hyuk’s agency, Saram Entertainment, stated, “Lee Soo hyuk has stepped down from ‘Men of The Harem’ due to scheduling conflicts.” Regarding the extent of the scenes already filmed, the agency remained discrete, noting that specific production details could not be confirmed.

Adapted from the hit Naver web novel by Alphatart, Men of The Harem follows Latil, an ambitious empress who takes multiple male concubines in order to secure her throne and protect her empire.
Pop icon and actress Suzy stars as Empress Latil. Lee Soo hyuk was originally set to portray one of her high-profile concubines alongside Shin Seung ho and Dex. With Lee Soo hyuk’s departure creating a vacancy, actor Lee Jong won is currently in active discussions to step into the role.
