iQIYI’s New Costume Fantasy Drama How to Slay Your Boss (千夜奇谭) Drops First Official Posters Starring Li Landi and He Yu
iQIYI and Wajijiwa (哇唧唧哇) have released the first character posters for the upcoming Chinese costume fantasy drama How to Slay Your Boss (Chinese title: 千夜奇谭 / Qian Ye Qi Tan). The posters feature leads Li Landi (李兰迪) and He Yu (何与), sorted by surname stroke count as noted in promotional materials.
The visually striking posters showcase a dreamy, ethereal aesthetic with soft purple-blue lighting, floating flowers, crystal-like elements, and elegant hanfu-inspired costumes.
In the main dual poster, He Yu appears in dark, flowing black robes with a powerful, mysterious presence as he leans protectively near Li Landi, who wears a delicate light blue-to-purple gradient gown with sheer layers and floral hair ornaments.

Production Details
Directed by Zhao Yilong (赵一龙) with screenplay by Ji Sangrou (纪桑柔) and Ding Lu (丁璐), the series is produced by iQIYI and Wajijiwa. It is planned for approximately 30 episodes of about 45 minutes each and will stream on iQIYI.
The drama is adapted from the manhua Tong Ling Fei (《通灵妃》), also known under alternate titles such as 揽星长明. The story follows a modern-day overworked office worker who is transported into a game world and becomes the substitute bride Qian Yunxi. Tasked by a system with assassinating her dangerous husband (who resembles her real-life boss), she quickly discovers he is immortal. The pair become entangled in various spirit and demon adventures filled with comedy, peril, and growing romance.
The first posters mark an early promotional milestone for the project, which has drawn attention for its mix of workplace-revenge humor, isekai/game-world elements, and fantasy adventure. Filming-related materials and set photos have also circulated among fans in recent days.
