Production of the 2nd Season of Lee Je Hoon, Kim Hye Soo’s ‘Signal’ Officially Begins

On March 5, tvN announced that the beloved K-drama *Signal* will officially return with its sequel titled *The Second Signal*. It has been confirmed that original cast members Lee Je Hoon, Kim Hye Soo, and Jo Jin Woong will reprise their roles.

*The Second Signal* will continue the narrative established in the first season, following detectives from both the past and present as they communicate via a walkie-talkie to solve longstanding unsolved cases.

The acclaimed writer Kim Eun Hee, known for her work on *Revenant*, *Jirisan*, and *Kingdom*, will be returning to pen the new season. She will collaborate with director Ahn Tae Jin, recognized for his work on *The Night Owl*. The series will be co-produced by Studio Dragon, Wind Pictures, and BA Entertainment.

In addition to the returning cast, *The Second Signal* will introduce new characters, featuring actors Ahn Jae Hong, Son Hyun Joo, and Jo Woo Jin.

The new season is slated to premiere in the first half of 2026 and will air exclusively on tvN.

This will mark the first confirmed project for Lee Je Hoon in 2026, who will also lead the upcoming series *The Art of Negotiation* and return for *Taxi Driver Season 3*.

After a three-year hiatus, Kim Hye Soo made a grand return to K-dramas this year with *Unmasked*, co-starring Jung Sung Il, Joo Jong Hyuk, Shin Jung Keun, Lee Hae Young, and Jang Hye Jin. *The Second Signal* will be her next project.

For Jo Jin Woong, *The Second Signal* represents a comeback to K-drama after appearing in the 2024 series *No Way Out: The Roulette*, alongside talents such as Yoo Jae Myung, Kim Mu Yeol, Lee Kwang Soo, Yeom Jung Ah, and Choi Myung Bin.
