Anupama 14th January 2026: Makar Sankranti at Shah’s and Kothari’s House!

Prarthana sits at the dining table, her mood somber as she tells Anupama that she no longer wants to eat. Anupama, concerned for her well-being, insists that she should eat, reminding her that she hasn’t had a proper meal in quite some time. Meanwhile, in another part of the house, Ansh and Leela are engaged in a discussion about rearranging the furniture. They decide to remove the table and make some changes to the layout. Hasmuk walks in, curious about their actions, and asks them what they are doing. Leela and Ansh explain that they are trying to create a safer environment for Prarthana.

Leela emphasizes that Prarthana came to their home after having a serious fight with the Kotharis, and they cannot afford to take any risks concerning her safety. Paritosh chimes in, suggesting that Prarthana and Raja should reconcile with the Kotharis and return to living with them. Hasmuk, unimpressed by Paritosh’s suggestion, playfully taunts him for his lack of understanding of the situation.

Feeling guilty, Prarthana apologizes to the Shah family, expressing her regret that her troubles are causing them distress. She explains that if she had stayed at the Kothari house, Gautam would have forced her to sign the papers, which would have allowed him to take her baby away. Anupama comforts Prarthana, assuring her that she is free to communicate with the Kotharis and visit them whenever she feels ready. Ansh promises Prarthana that their family will take care of her as if she were their own, emphasizing their commitment to her well-being.

In a separate conversation, Hasmuk expresses his concerns to Anupama, asking her not to return to Mumbai just yet. Anupama acknowledges his worries but insists that it is important for her to go back. However, she reassures him that she will wait until after the festival of Makar Sankranti to leave. Anupama also reflects on the fact that she has not yet spoken to Rajini, adding to her sense of urgency.

Meanwhile, Bharti serves tea to Rajini and asks for permission to go to the chawl to celebrate her first festival. Rajini grants her request, but Bharti secretly plans to do something significant for Makar Sankranti, hinting at her desire to make an impression. On the other hand, Vasundhara expresses her frustration towards Prarthana, blaming her for being influenced by Anupama and choosing to leave the Kothari house to stay with the Shahs. She also places blame on Raja for not standing up for their family. Meeta adds fuel to the fire, claiming that Anupama manipulated Raja into coming to Mumbai. Gautam, indifferent to the family drama, states that he does not care where Prarthana lives; he only wants his baby. Parag, enraged by Gautam’s callousness, slaps him and delivers a stern lecture about family and responsibility.

As the tension unfolds, Rahi is visibly disturbed by the chaos surrounding Prarthana and the Kotharis. Prem, noticing her distress, consoles her and shares his dream of seeing Rahi pregnant one day. However, he confesses that he is not yet ready to become a father, as he wants to establish a successful career first to ensure a good life for their future child. Rahi reassures Prem that he will be a wonderful father when the time comes, offering him comfort in his uncertainty.

As Makar Sankranti approaches, both the Shahs and the Kotharis prepare to celebrate the festival. Anupama takes a moment to talk about the significance of music in their culture, encouraging the Shah family to play the flute and remember God during the celebrations. She invites Prarthana to ring the bell, highlighting its importance, especially since she is pregnant. Raja, eager to participate, asks Anupama if he can also ring the bell, admitting that he does not know how to play the flute. Anupama reassures him that what matters most is the intention behind the act, not the skill involved.

Parag admires Rahi’s effort in decorating the temple beautifully, and Mahi, feeling a bit defensive, mentions that she has been busy with work and would have helped otherwise. Prerna notices the tension and points out that Mahi seems insecure about Rahi’s achievements, suggesting she should appreciate Rahi instead of comparing herself to her. Anupama quietly reflects on the importance of unity and gratitude as she remembers God.

As the festival begins, the Shahs and Kotharis come together to pray. Ansh, filled with excitement, asks Anupama when they will go kite flying, and she replies that they will go after enjoying the prasad. Paritosh, eager to promote his business, decides to use the kite-flying event as an opportunity to market his company. Anupama and Leela share a light-hearted moment, teasing Paritosh about his business ambitions.

The Shah family gathers for kite flying, but Paritosh feels a cloud of disappointment hanging over him. Anupama notices his mood and advises him to think wisely about his business decisions. She offers to help him by giving money to Karan, instructing him to use Paritosh’s company name on other kites as well, hoping to boost his confidence.

During the kite-flying festivities, the Shahs and Kotharis encounter each other, turning the event into a friendly competition. Parag skillfully cuts Anupama’s kite, and she joyfully celebrates his victory. Hasmuk playfully asks Anupama if she lost on purpose, to which she admits that she did so for the sake of family harmony. Parag reminds her that winning isn’t everything, and Anupama responds that since he won, they should celebrate together. Parag agrees, saying they will celebrate her loss, but Anupama insists it should be a celebration for everyone. She reflects on the idea that festivals are the perfect time to forget past grievances and embrace forgiveness.

As the episode progresses, the Kotharis and the Shahs join together to perform Garba, further solidifying their bond during the festive season.

In the precap, a sudden turn of events occurs when Prarthana suddenly collapses to the ground, leaving Anupama and the others in shock and panic. The atmosphere shifts from celebration to concern as they rush to her side, worried about her well-being.
