Vihaan admits that Jhanak isn’t Avni, but when Aniruddh presses for details, Vihaan vaguely explains that he married Jhanak, unable to disclose the full truth. He inquires if Aniruddh has lied about his illness, to which Aniruddh confirms he stayed behind to uncover the truth about Jhanak. Vihaan insists that he genuinely married Jhanak and suggests that she might be aware of Aniruddh’s intentions, hence her request that he keep quiet.
Meanwhile, Mehek expresses disbelief that Jhanak learned to make delicious pickles while living in America. Priyanshi, curious about education abroad, expresses her desire to study. Jhanak assures her that she will support her education. Mehek comments on the dynamics of the household, indicating it’s not easy for anyone to challenge Ketki’s authority.
Back to the conversation with Aniruddh, Vihaan is asked about the timing of his marriage to Jhanak. He only reveals that he fell in love with Avni in the US, married her, and was devastated when she died in a plane crash without giving him closure. He explains that he came to India with Ahaan after his family finally accepted him, and then married Jhanak, who offered support.

Later, Aniruddh confronts Jhanak, questioning her decision to marry a stranger. Jhanak insists that she doesn’t meddle in his life, so he shouldn’t interfere in hers. When pressed for a reason, she explains the harrowing experience of her kidnapping by Kul Bhushan and how she had to fight back to escape. Shocked, Aniruddh asks if she is sure the goon is dead and why she won’t contact anyone. Jhanak reveals her desire to start fresh and that her marriage to Vihaan was a way to create a new identity while building a life together.
On a different note, Rihaan informs Kul Bhushan of Jhanak’s current living situation as the daughter-in-law of a wealthy family, citing that theft and attempted murder charges are pending against her. Kul Bhushan orders Rihaan to bring Jhanak to him.
Apu asks Bipasha to help out in the kitchen since Tanuja is cooking alone, while Laal also urges her to lend a hand before heading to college.
Back with Jhanak, Aniruddh inquires if she finds it easy to forget her past. Jhanak insists she’s trying and feels happy where she is before leaving the conversation.
