Ratings Shift: A Bonafide Killer Dips as Flex X Cop 2 Hits New Personal High
The Friday-Saturday Korean drama ratings landscape experienced a notable shift as MBC’s A Bonafide Killer saw a second consecutive decline, while SBS’s Flex X Cop 2 soared to a new personal best.
A Bonafide Killer Episode 8 Drops to 8.8 Percent Despite Major Plot Twist
According to Nielsen Korea, Episode 8 of MBC’s A Bonafide Killer recorded a nationwide viewership rating of 8.8%. This marks a 0.9% drop from Episode 7 (9.7%) and a continued downward trend from its peak of 10.2% in Episode 6.
Despite the rating slump, the episode delivered high-stakes drama. After Episode 7 introduced the fateful past between You Bo Na (Gong Hyo Jin) and Kwon Tae Seong (Jung Joon Won), Episode 8 escalated the narrative with a nostalgic cabin romance, their first kiss, and the dark truth surrounding the Kingfisher sniper incident. With the central romance and core mystery fully unraveling, all eyes are on whether the series can regain its momentum heading into the second half.
Flex X Cop 2 Reaches Peak Ratings as Ahn Bo Hyun Solves Hotel Murder
In the same timeslot, SBS’s Flex X Cop 2 continued its upward trajectory. Episode 6 achieved a new personal record of 7.5%, jumping 1.3% from Episode 5’s 6.2%.
The fast-paced crime drama keeps drawing viewers in with rapid plot progression and compelling new characters. In Episode 6, Jin I Soo (Ahn Bo Hyun) and Joo Hye Ra (Jung Eun Chae) unraveled the tragic truth behind the Rosebud Hotel murder case, exposing a twisted tale of misguided maternal love that gripped audiences.
