Shortly after, Pankaj enters the scene and inquires about what Anjali is doing. He questions her professionalism as an advocate, pointing out that she is sitting in front of a typewriter engaged in what appears to be menial work.
Anjali explains that she is in a desperate situation, lacking the funds needed to buy medicine for Ganesh, which is why she is taking on this work. Pankaj offers to help her financially, but Anjali declines his offer, stating that the mere fact he is willing to assist her is sufficient. She expresses her pride and insists that she does not want to rely on anyone’s charity.
As Anjali attempts to feed Ganesh, he refuses to eat, which leads her to reflect on her recent loss in the elections. In a moment of frustration, she snaps at Ganesh, urging him to stop talking. She emphasizes that her electoral defeat was a sacrifice made for his well-being.
