Actor Shivam Khajuria, currently portraying Prem in Rajan Shahi’s *Anupamaa*, emphasizes his preference for keeping his personal life out of the public eye. He explained, “When it comes to relationships and love, I prefer not to discuss them publicly. The most special moments are those shared between two individuals. While some may enjoy expressing their feelings on social media, I believe a relationship is best kept private, as it’s more important to nurture the bond than to showcase it to the world. There’s a unique beauty in maintaining that intimacy.”
Shivam further elaborated, “Growing up, I always thought love should be expressed in simple ways. I’ve never been a fan of public displays of affection. Everyone expresses love differently, and for me, it’s the small, meaningful gestures that matter. It’s about how you make the other person feel, rather than how it appears externally.”
In *Anupamaa*, the storyline revolves around Prem’s love for Rahi (Adrija Roy) as their wedding preparations unfold. Shivam remarked, “The creators have captured the various shades of love between us in a subtle manner, highlighting the quiet moments, emotions, and struggles. Love embodies understanding, patience, and those little things that make it genuine.”
He expressed his appreciation for the chemistry he shares with Adrija, stating, “Our bond makes it easy to portray our characters’ connection. I loved the scene where Prem conveyed his feelings for Rahi through gestures alone, without dialogue—it was beautiful. While it didn’t change my perspective on love, it resonated with me because that’s likely how I’d express love in real life too.”
Reflecting on how the concept of love and relationships has evolved over the years, he commented, “Love still exists, but the way people engage with it has transformed. There are certainly distractions and complexities now, but at its core, true love remains about connection, understanding, and being there for one another.”
