In a recent Instagram post, Arjit Taneja, known for his role as Virat Singh Ahuja in *Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gaye*, hinted at a farewell with the message, “And signing off as Virat Singh Ahuja. Thank you for the endless love and some hate at times. VSA will always be special.” This sparked speculation among fans about whether he was leaving the show. However, in an exclusive interview, Arjit has clarified the situation, reassuring fans that he is not quitting the series. Instead, the story is set to take a three-year leap, marking his transition from one character to another.
He shared, “Virat falls off a cliff in the current storyline, which prompts this three-year time jump. After that, I’ll be introduced as a completely new character, Ranveer Arora, who is the complete opposite of Virat. How he relates to Virat and the Ahuja family will unfold in the upcoming episodes. So yes, after 15 wonderful months, it’s time to say goodbye to Virat. This show is very close to my heart, and I would never leave it, despite what some people might think. My post was simply my way of signing off as Virat Singh Ahuja, not leaving the show behind. The story is far from over, and I hope to continue this journey for many more years.”
Arjit is excited about the rare opportunity to portray two vastly different characters within the same series. He expressed enthusiasm for the challenge and said, “It’s not often that an actor gets to reinvent themselves in the same show. Ranveer is so different from Virat that it feels like stepping into a completely new space. It’s an exhilarating experience to explore new dimensions and keep the audience guessing. I see this as a chance to showcase my versatility, and I can’t wait for viewers to witness this transformation. It’s going to be a fresh chapter for me.”
