Apollena 10th January 2025 Written Update

by swathi reddy

The episode begins with Anna adamantly refusing to sit on the floor for the meal, claiming it’s unhygienic. Girdar insists that it’s part of their culture to eat while seated on the floor. Anna counters, arguing that many diseases are prevalent in India. Mahadev reprimands Shlok for bringing his foreign friend to the puja. Saraswati defends Shlok, saying he’s unjustly scolding him. She expresses pride in Apollena’s brilliance and prompts her to explain the cultural nuances behind this tradition.

Apollena attempts to excuse herself but is drawn back by Mahadev’s inquiry. Saraswati encourages Apollena to share her insights with Anna, hoping to convince her to join them at the meal. Girdar chimes in, stating that Apollena’s knowledge of science should prevail today. Despite their efforts, Anna remains stubborn, insisting she’ll eat at the dining table instead. Mahadev argues that because it’s a bhoj (feast), they should eat on the floor. Rastogi mentions her hunger and her intent to leave for home and healthy food, but this doesn’t sway them.

Apollena steps in and assures Anna that she will help her understand their culture. She questions Anna about the obesity issues faced in the West, prompting Anna to admit they practice yoga to combat it. Apollena asks Anna to demonstrate this, and after some hesitation, Anna sits on the floor in a cross-legged position. Apollena points out that if Anna can comfortably sit on the floor for yoga, she should also be able to eat in the same position, explaining that it aids digestion and supports liver health.

When Anna expresses concern about eating with her hands given the perceived lack of hygiene, Apollena addresses this by acknowledging that cleanliness varies but emphasizes the positive aspects of their culture. Shlok interjects, mentioning that hands carry bacteria, suggesting using spoons instead. In response, Apollena challenges Shlok, questioning whether utensils are free from bacteria and recalling that his mother used to feed him with her hands. Eventually, she successfully convinces Anna to eat with her hands, and Anna agrees to partake in the bhoj.

Mahadev is impressed with Apollena’s persuasive skills and praises her for her efforts. Varun jokingly tells Shlok that Apollena’s guidance is making them both overweight. Shlok retorts, confident in his own weight-loss knowledge. Just then, as Shlok and Varun prepare to leave, Mahadev stops Shlok, asking him where he is headed. Shlok fabricates a story about a friend suffering a heart attack. Believing him, Mahadev urges Shlok to ask for help if needed. Shlok nods in agreement.

Outside, Varun questions Shlok about the lie, suggesting that Mahadev wouldn’t allow him to leave otherwise. Meanwhile, Apollena and Girdar arrive home, where she expresses her fatigue. Girdar tells her she needs to work hard. Just then, Sangeeta calls to inform Apollena that her exam results are out. Eager to check the newspaper, Apollena rushes outside, only to find her registration number missing, leading her to believe she has failed.

As she deals with the goons who are harassing her, Shlok arrives just in time to rescue her, encouraging her to stand up for herself. Girdar receives praise from the hotel manager after discovering that his daughter topped the university. He beams with happiness, and his family members video call him to congratulate Apollena. However, he discovers she is not home.

Back with the goons, Apollena is frustrated and tells Shlok she believes she has failed her exam, sparking his teasing. She worries that her father will never speak to her again if that’s the case.
