by swathi reddy

The episode opens with Madhu expressing her dreams for Apollena’s future, wishing for her daughter to stand on her own two feet without having to endure scolding from her in-laws like Dadi did. While she is thankful for her husband’s release from jail, Madhu is heartbroken that Apollena’s life seems to have intertwined with that of a stranger. Apollena reassures her mother, stating that she is determined to become an astronaut and change societal perceptions about married women in that role. She is committed to fulfilling her father’s dreams.

As their conversation unfolds, Apollena accidentally drops her bangle, which Shlok picks up and hands back to Madhu. Madhu reflects that Girdar has always been supportive of Apollena’s dreams, expressing her loneliness now that he is gone. She urges Shlok to support Apollena in achieving her dream, promising to back his ambitions as well. Apollena asserts that she can stand on her own.

Meanwhile, Madhu prepares to leave and speaks to Mahadev, who instructs Saraswati to give her vermilion. Saraswati mentions that Mahadev is willing to sacrifice everything for her, but he emphasizes that it’s the vermilion keeping Apollena bound to this house. Madhu claims that this vermilion is also preventing her from taking her daughter away.

Saraswati expresses that she would follow her own desires if only her husband gave her permission. Apollena comforts her, stating that her father made her strong enough to handle any situation. Madhu gifts Apollena her bangles as a token of blessing, explaining that it’s all she has left to give. Girdar chimes in, reminding Madhu that they can’t miss their bus to Chitrakoot and refuses to acknowledge Apollena, insisting she is dead to him. Heartbroken, Apollena breaks down in tears.

Later, Mahadev tells Apollena that she is now his daughter-in-law, but she insists that she only has one father—Girdar. Emphasizing her loyalty to her father, she becomes emotional, looking at her reflection in the mirror and imagining herself as an astronaut. She vows to overcome the negative perceptions surrounding her family and become a groundbreaking female astronaut in India.

Mahadev advises Apollena about stars and their relationships, explaining that a marriage is like this cosmic phenomenon—they might seem close but are, in reality, far apart. He mentions that it takes millions of years for stars to come close, just as she has seven lifetimes to strengthen her bond with her husband. Shlok interrupts, declaring that he has no interest in her or in science and will not unite with her in seven lifetimes either. Apollena echoes his sentiment.

Meanwhile, Vedh and Rupa are arranging their room, with Vedh predicting that Rupa’s mother will pressure her again about having children. Rupa is irritated by his comment. Saraswati then brings in the married couples, prompting Rupa to ask Shlok for shagun money, which he reluctantly provides before shutting the door. Their interactions escalate into an argument, with Shlok questioning why she agreed to marry him, and Rupa revealing she had no other choice.

Later, Saraswati decides to take revenge on Apollena for ruining her sleep by preventing her from participating in a puja with Mahadev. Apollena confides her dislike for Mahadev to Shlok, indicating that she wishes to confront her father about the situation.

As the episode concludes, Girdar is seen trying to burn Apollena’s belongings, adding further tension to the already fraught atmosphere.
