The episode opens with a significant moment as Padma insists that Rishabh tie the thali (mangalsutra) around Bhagyashree’s neck, completing the traditional ritual by securing all three knots. Rishabh, attempting to downplay the importance of the moment, tells Bhagyashree to view it merely as a formality. As he begins the process, Bhagyashree becomes emotional, reminiscing about their shared memories—how Rishabh once carried her and helped her prepare for special occasions. Tears well up in her eyes as the weight of the moment sinks in.
Just as Rishabh ties the first knot, his phone rings. He answers the call, indicating it’s important, and hands the thali to Padma, asking her to complete the remaining knots. Padma ties the other two knots, commenting that it looks perfect before walking away, leaving Bhagyashree feeling a mix of emotions.
After the ceremony, Bhagyashree approaches Rishabh, only to overhear him on the phone with someone named Nia, affectionately calling her “baby.” This irritates Bhagyashree, and she insists that they need to leave the venue.
The scene shifts as Bhagyashree, Rishabh, and their family members arrive at Shekhar and Meenakshi’s Mangalasnanam (Haldi ceremony). Karuna compliments Bhagyashree on how beautiful she looks adorned with the thali. Padma explains to the guests that Mangalasnanam and Haldi are essentially the same ritual, emphasizing their significance. However, Bhagyashree’s attention is drawn to Rishabh, who is receiving constant phone calls.
As Padma encourages them to begin the rituals, Rishabh receives another call just when they are about to start. Bhagyashree urges him to finish the rituals first, but he insists it’s an important office matter and walks away. Meenakshi, observing the situation, expresses understanding, attributing Rishabh’s behavior to the fast-paced work culture of Delhi. When Rishabh finally returns, Bhagyashree makes a sarcastic remark about his priorities.
Amidst the festivities, Padma distributes chains for Bhagyashree and Rishabh to gift to Shekhar. Suddenly, Karuna realizes they have forgotten to bring the veshti (traditional dhoti) needed for the ritual. Rishabh volunteers to retrieve it, but as he prepares to leave, he takes yet another call, casually saying, “I’m coming, baby.” This repeated term of endearment raises red flags for Bhagyashree, who wonders why he keeps addressing someone in that manner.
Concerned about how her father will react, Bhagyashree follows Rishabh outside, only to see him driving off with his girlfriend. Feeling upset and betrayed, she worries about the implications of Rishabh’s actions, particularly how they will affect her family.
Meanwhile, Padma and Vinay express their concern about their other daughter, who has yet to arrive. They ask Shreyas to keep trying to reach her. After the Mangalasnanam ceremony, as the bride and groom prepare for the swing ritual, Padma instructs Bhagyashree to call Rishabh and ask him to return, even without the veshti, since the ritual is about to begin.
Bhagyashree steps aside and spots Rishabh arriving at the venue with his girlfriend, both drinking wine. Alarmed, she warns him that he is drunk and could attract unwanted attention. In a moment of desperation, she calls Padma, informing her that Shraddha has come to witness the ritual and asks her to attend to her. Bhagyashree then tells Rishabh that he didn’t bring the veshti and needs to change. She offers to help him and leads him to a room.
Inside the room, Bhagyashree grapples with Rishabh’s irresponsible behavior, reflecting on how respectful he used to be. To sober him up, she makes him stand under the shower, but in a playful moment, Rishabh pulls her under the water too and removes her spectacles. They share a brief moment of intimacy, but their connection is interrupted by a knock on the door. Bhagyashree steps back, puts her spectacles back on, and sternly warns Rishabh to behave appropriately in front of her family, threatening to cut his payment if he doesn’t. She then leaves to change into another saree, with Meenakshi assisting her.
Dressed and ready, Bhagyashree emerges to find Sowmya confronting Shraddha, who is now wearing the chain originally intended for Bhagyashree. Quickly intervening, Bhagyashree explains that she gave the chain to Shraddha because she felt she was dressed too simply and asks Sowmya not to make a scene. Sowmya storms off, and Bhagyashree reassures Shraddha, also known as Nia, not to take Sowmya’s comments to heart. Nia, however, expresses her disappointment that Bhagyashree had to hire a husband to manage her family, clarifying that she knows Bhagyashree is paying Rishabh to help with their financial situation.
Rishabh then approaches Bhagyashree, apologizing for arriving at the function inebriated. Nia makes a snide remark about Sowmya, prompting Bhagyashree to defend her family member, insisting that Nia refrain from speaking ill of her Bhabhi. Bhagyashree then tells Rishabh that the chain was a gift from her parents and that they would be hurt to see it on Nia’s neck. Rishabh, in a light-hearted yet inappropriate manner, asks Nia to remove the chain so he can wear it himself, claiming that “my baby’s neck is empty.” He then suggests that Bhagyashree give one of her jewelry pieces to Nia.
As the episode concludes, the tension between Bhagyashree and Rishabh escalates, setting the stage for a confrontation in the upcoming scenes, with Bhagyashree determined to address Rishabh’s reckless behavior and the emotional turmoil it has caused her.
