BARC Top 10 TV Shows for Week 35

This past week brought some major shake-ups to the TV ratings game! The latest BARC India numbers for Week 35 are in, and they’ve given us a fresh look at what’s hot and what’s not on Indian television.

The Reigning Champions and the Close Contenders

Anupamaa on Star Plus is proving it’s the undisputed queen of television, holding onto the top spot with a strong TVR of 2.2. Right behind it, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah on Sony SAB is holding its own, landing at number two with a TVR of 2.0.

The competition is fierce among the next few shows, with several favorites seeing some shifts:

  • Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (Star Plus)is still a powerhouse but saw a slight dip, pulling a 1.9 TVR.
  • Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi (Star Plus) also slipped, landing at a 1.8 TVR this week.
  • Tumm Se Tumm Tak (Zee TV) is right on their heels with a solid 1.7 TVR.
  • Udne Ki Aasha (Star Plus) is continuing its downward trend with a TVR of 1.6.

A Tight Race in the Mid-Tier

Things get very crowded in the middle of the pack, with several shows tied with a 1.2 TVR. This includes some fan favorites and a couple of shows that might be feeling the pressure:

  • Aarti Anjali Awasthi (Star Plus)
  • Mangal Lakshmi (Colors TV) and Mangal Lakshmi – Lakshmi Ka Safar (Colors TV)
  • Bigg Boss (Colors TV)
  • Pati Patni aur Panga (Colors TV)
  • Shiv Shakti Tap Tyaag Tandav (Colors TV)
  • Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile (Zee TV)

It seems this group is fighting for every viewer, and it’ll be interesting to see who can break away from the pack in the coming weeks.

What Needs a Boost?

Several shows are hovering just below the top tier and will need to pick up the pace to avoid falling further.

  • Jhanak and Kabhi Neem Neem Kabhi Shahad Shahad (Star Plus), Mannat Har Khushi Paane Ki (Colors TV), and Zee TV’s Saru and Kumkum Bhagya are all sitting at a 1.1 TVR.
  • Itti Si Khushi (Sony SAB) and Noyontara (Colors TV) are at a 1.0 TVR.
  • Some reality shows, like Super Dancer Chapter 5 (Sony Entertainment Television) and Manpasand Ki Shaadi (Colors TV), are holding on with a 0.9 TVR.
  • The lowest ratings this week go to Chhoriyan Chali Gaon (Zee TV) with a 0.7 TVR and Zee TV’s new talk show Kahaani Har Ghar Ki, which opened with a 0.4 TVR.

It’s clear that while some shows are thriving, others are in desperate need of a ratings boost. With so much competition, which shows do you think will climb the charts next week?
