Barkha Bisht Opens Up: Why Playing Noina Was ‘Terrible’

Television actress Barkha Bisht has confirmed her exit from Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2, where she played Noina, the other woman in Mihir’s life. Speaking candidly about her track coming to an end, Barkha explained, “At some point, Noina had to get exposed and the truth had to come out, so it is time for my exit. The makers may plan to bring my track back in the future, but as of now, my role is over.”

The Challenge of Playing Noina

Barkha admitted that portraying Noina was far from easy. “It was terrible playing the other woman,” she shared. “But fortunately, there was a certain maturity with which Ekta wrote my character. She is someone who has fallen in love with the wrong man and made the wrong choices, and tries to justify her actions. But at the end of the day, what is wrong is wrong.”

Her empathy lies firmly with Tulsi, Mihir’s wife, whose pain she deeply relates to. “I completely understand what Tulsi is going through and wish that on no woman. In real life, I have seen such a situation and I can never be the other woman,” Barkha added, highlighting the emotional difficulty of embodying such a role.

Moving Beyond the Past

On the personal front, Barkha separated in 2022, though her divorce is still pending. Reflecting on her journey, she said, “Time is the biggest healer when you face difficult situations in life. There are more important things in life and you begin to focus on what lies ahead. Every person takes a different amount of time to reach that space, and then the past becomes unimportant. I have reached that place. My past is completely irrelevant right now.”

Her words reflect a sense of closure and resilience, as she chooses to focus on the present and the future rather than dwell on what has already passed.

Building a New Chapter

Barkha also spoke about how her life has changed in recent years. “I don’t depend on anyone for my happiness. The past few years have taught me that the only person you depend on is yourself. Today, I’m building a happy environment for my daughter Meira and myself. I also have some dear friends like Sayantani Ghosh, Karan Veer Mehra, Gulfam Khan, and Ashish Sharma. I feel safe around them and want to focus only on this little world. Life is beautiful and I am happy.”

Her focus now is on creating a nurturing environment for her daughter and surrounding herself with trusted friends who bring positivity and support.

Why Her Exit Matters

Barkha’s departure from Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 marks the end of a controversial yet impactful character arc. Noina’s storyline challenged viewers to confront themes of betrayal, choices, and consequences. While her exit closes one chapter, Barkha’s reflections on both her professional and personal life reveal a woman who has embraced growth, resilience, and happiness.

As she moves forward, Barkha Bisht’s journey serves as a reminder that endings often pave the way for new beginnings—both on screen and in life.
