1. Serial Bomb Attacks and a Humiliating Reunion
Jin Yi soo’s signature flex and vanity hit an immediate snag in Episode 1. While filming a documentary, Yi soo receives a cryptic message from an anonymous sender claiming to have a “gift” at a local department store. That gift turns out to be an improvised explosive device (IED). After accidentally stepping on the trigger, Yi soo is saved by police anti-terrorism team leader Ju Hye ra (Jung Eun chae).
The catch? Hye ra is Yi soo’s former “devil instructor” from his police academy days. Watching Yi soo roll across the floor in terror, Hye ra witnesses his ultimate humiliation. Things get worse when the incident hits national news, and Hye ra is dispatched to his precinct to lead the serial bombing investigation.
2. High-Octane Cliffhanger: A 5-Minute Race to the Han River
The stakes turned deadly during Yi soo’s whiskey brand launch party, where a second bomb detonates among the promotional bottles. Realizing Yi soo is being targeted by a relentless serial bomber, Hye ra decides to move him to a safe house.
However, while driving, they discover a massive time bomb hidden inside the vehicle with less than 5 minutes on the clock—carrying a blast radius capable of wiping out 100 meters. With jammed city traffic threatening civilian lives, Yi soo takes the wheel and hurtles the car straight toward a Han River yacht marina, ending Episode 1 on a pulse-pounding cliffhanger!
3. Episode 2 Counterattack: The Mysterious Underground Bunker
Surviving the explosive ordeal, Yi soo and Hye ra initiate their first official joint investigation in Episode 2. The dynamic between the “hate-relationship” senior and junior turns lethal as they track down the bomber’s hideout.
Newly released stills show the duo conducting a flashlight search through a creepy, dark mansion before discovering a hidden underground bunker that looks straight out of Indiana Jones. Having regained his trademark swagger and sharp eyes, Yi soo is ready to use his endless wealth and detective instincts to crush the bomber who dared to target him.
