The episode begins with Savi expressing her concerns to Rajat, reminding him that during her last exam, she witnessed Ishaan getting shot right before her eyes. Rajat acknowledges this, admitting that he knows about the incident but doesn’t know much else about her. Savi confesses that she feels she can’t take the exam again because it will only bring back painful memories. She apologizes to Rajat and walks away.
That night, Rajat finds himself troubled, thinking about how he can help Savi confront her trauma. Kian, who wakes up scared from a nightmare, asks if he can sleep with Rajat. Rajat readily agrees.
Though he first tries to sleep on the couch next to Kian, he struggles to find comfort and soon, Ashika suggests that he sleep on the bed with Kian instead. Reluctantly, Rajat agrees, and they all settle down together.
The next morning, as Savi and Saisha join the family at the dining table, Savi pulls Rajat aside. She reveals her intention to inform Saisha that she won’t be taking the exam. Rajat encourages her to wait until tomorrow to tell Saisha, and Savi reluctantly agrees.
Later, while helping Saisha with her meal, Savi overhears Ashika talking about how Rajat slept on the bed with her and Kian, which unsettles her.
In the car, Rajat tries to explain his decision to sleep next to Kian after the boy’s nightmare, but Savi interrupts him, insisting he doesn’t need to justify his personal life.
Rajat then takes Savi to a field where he sets up a table and presents her with last year’s political science question paper, challenging her to solve it in 2 hours and 30 minutes. Savi reminds him that she has no intention of taking the exam. Rajat challenges her resolve and comments on her decision.
As they continue, Rajat sits down and pretends to be engulfed in flames. Distressed, Savi urges him to escape the fire and desperately tries to extinguish it. Rajat calmly insists that the fire won’t go out until he commands it. Confused, Savi notices that Lucky is behind this setup and questions Rajat’s motives. He explains that sometimes, confronting fear with intensity—poison with poison—is necessary to overcome trauma. He urges her to write the exam.
Reluctantly, Savi picks up the pen and completes the exam in just 1 hour and 20 minutes. After asking Lucky to extinguish the flames, she approaches Rajat, furious, and slaps him for his reckless actions. Rajat, however, reminds her that she completed the exam quicker than she thought she could. When she questions whether he believes his approach was right, Rajat expresses that her dream of becoming an IAS officer is his dream too, and he’ll go to any lengths to help her achieve it. Encouraged, Savi finally agrees to take the actual exam, exciting Rajat. After she leaves, Lucky comments on Rajat’s unconventional methods, stating he has never seen anything like it.
Later, Rajat returns home to find Ashika excitedly revealing she has a surprise for the family. They all gather to play carroms, creating a loving atmosphere that inadvertently makes Savi feel excluded. Watching this unfold, she senses her disconnect from the family.
A few days later, as Savi prepares to head to the examination center, the Thakkar family gathers to wish her good luck.
**Precap:** Ashika accuses Savi of being responsible for Kian’s disappearance.
