The episode opens with a tense atmosphere as the kids devise a plan to distract the goons who have come to collect a debt from their family. In a bid to lighten the mood, they jokingly suggest that the goons take their fridge, affectionately named “Khatkhat Maharaj,” if they want to take anything at all. Diya, one of the children, insists that they need to feed their father water, as it is a part of the last rites. As she prepares to do so, the goons intervene, telling her not to proceed. Instead, they insist that Anvita, who is Suhas’ own daughter, should be the one to feed him. Reluctantly, Anvita steps forward and gives water to her father, Suhas.
After this brief moment, the family holds onto the hope that the goons will leave now that they have gotten what they wanted. However, the goons make themselves comfortable on the sofa, showing no signs of departing. Confused and frustrated, the family asks them when they plan to leave. The goons explain that since they are owed a substantial amount of money—5 lakh rupees—they feel entitled to mourn for their loss for at least five minutes. They settle in, seemingly unfazed by the family’s distress.
Just then, Chiku, the youngest sibling, pipes up, expressing his hunger and asking for something to eat. This prompts his elder brother to dramatically cry out, lamenting who would prepare food for them now that their father is no longer with them. The rest of the family quickly joins in, escalating the scene with loud wails and frantic gestures. Their over-the-top display of grief begins to disturb the goons, who decide that they need to leave before the noise becomes unbearable.
As the goons prepare to exit, an unexpected turn of events occurs: Suhas starts snoring loudly. The goons halt in their tracks, bewildered by the sound. Anvita, in a moment of panic, quickly covers her father’s face to muffle the noise. The family explains to the goons that the sound is merely their “Khatkhat Maharaj,” which is known for making strange noises, thus deflecting any suspicion.
At this point, the goons receive a call from their boss, who inquires about the situation. They explain that there is nothing of value in the house and that they haven’t managed to collect a single penny. After hanging up, one of the goons reveals that their boss has instructed them to witness the last rites and record a video to show him later. This news sends a chill through the family.
The goons then approach Suhas with the intention of raising his corpse to carry him to the cremation ground, or “samshan ghaat.” Anvita, however, protests vehemently, asserting that the goons cannot touch her father’s body because he has four sons who should be the ones to carry him. She insists that if they do not lift him, his soul will not be freed. The goons, taken aback by her determination, reluctantly leave the body untouched.
At this moment, Bandya, one of Suhas’ sons, arrives home and is immediately shocked to see his father’s image adorned with garlands. He rushes to wake Suhas, only to realize that he cannot. Overcome with grief, Bandya bursts into tears, demanding to know how this tragedy occurred. The family rallies around him, trying to calm him down while explaining that everything is part of a ruse to outsmart the goons.
Anvita quickly calls Sanjay, asking him to drive by in his police van with the siren blaring. When Sanjay complies, the sound of the siren sends the goons into a panic, and they hastily flee the house. With the threat gone, the family breathes a collective sigh of relief, grateful for their successful deception.
Later, Virat pays a visit to Anvita and her family. Noticing that everyone is dressed in white, he feels a sense of unease and confusion. The family concocts various stories to explain the situation, managing to keep Virat in the dark about the real events. In an effort to lighten the mood, Virat takes Anvita and the kids out for a treat.
While they are out, Chidiya, another member of the family, receives a concerning message on her phone, which makes her visibly worried. Upon returning home, she seizes an opportunity to fiddle with Virat’s mobile phone. Just as she is about to put it back, Virat approaches her, catching her in the act. The episode ends on this cliffhanger, leaving viewers eager to see how the situation will unfold next.
