The episode opens on an emotional note as Jhanak confesses her deepest fear to Rishi. She tells him that his family does not like or trust her, and because of that, she believes they can never truly be happy together. According to Jhanak, building a life by hurting one’s family is wrong, and she refuses to become the reason behind Rishi’s family’s pain. With a heavy heart, she declares that she does not think she should marry him.
A stunned Rishi asks her what she is saying and why she is suddenly talking about separation. Jhanak explains calmly yet firmly that she cannot become his wife if it means his family will always remain unhappy and suspicious of her intentions. She adds that his family will never accept or trust her, no matter what she does. Jhanak reminds him that she revealed the truth earlier only to save Aditi’s life, but no one seems to acknowledge or care about that sacrifice. Instead, she is constantly blamed and misunderstood. Neelu intervenes angrily and asks Jhanak to stop her so-called drama and manipulation. Jhanak, however, stands her ground and insists that she only spoke the truth.
Soon after, Rishi receives an envelope from the court, increasing the tension in the house. Abhimanyu remarks that Rishi has chosen not to listen to anyone, while Indumati counters by saying that Rishi only listened to Jhanak. Rishi clarifies that the matter is strictly between him and Aditi. He questions why everyone is making it complicated—if Aditi has moved on in her life, then why shouldn’t he do the same? Indumati reminds him bitterly that Aditi was forced to move on because of his actions. Jhanak gently asks Rishi to reconsider the divorce, but Putul stops her, advising her not to interfere. Putul consoles Jhanak, saying that one day this family will accept her wholeheartedly because they are not bad people at heart. Overwhelmed by Putul’s support, Jhanak hugs her.
Later, Jhanak breaks down alone in her room, unable to hold back her tears. Rishi comes to check on her, and she finally reveals a shocking truth—Ankush tried to kill her. Furious and protective, Rishi says he will not spare Ankush and immediately decides to inform his team. Jhanak, however, believes it will be useless because Ankush is well prepared. She explains how he deliberately chose an area without CCTV cameras, arrived on a bike with a fake number plate, and hid his identity under a helmet. Rishi asks her not to be scared and assures her that his team will arrest Ankush soon. Jhanak admits that she is not worried about herself but about Rishi’s safety. He promises her that nothing will happen to him, and the two share a tight, emotional hug.
The scene then shifts to the family court, where the judge asks Rishi and Aditi whether they truly cannot live together. Aditi states clearly that she wants a mutual divorce. Rishi agrees, saying that if Aditi does not wish to continue the marriage, then he will respect her decision. Aditi accuses him of lying and claims that the real reason behind the divorce is his desire to marry Jhanak. She questions why Rishi is blaming her when it is he who wants to end the marriage. The judge intervenes and asks both of them to calm down.
Aditi emotionally tells the judge that Rishi betrayed her repeatedly and always lied to her. She accuses him of having an extramarital affair, which led them to this courtroom. Rishi denies betraying her and repeats that he only wants a mutual divorce. Aditi sarcastically says he is pretending to be innocent in front of the judge. She then drops a bombshell by revealing that Rishi married Jhanak secretly and brought her into his house disguised as a maid. She explains that Rishi hid this truth from her completely, and she learned about it only on her wedding day from someone else.
The judge reprimands Rishi and tells him that what he did was wrong. Rishi accepts his mistake without hesitation. He openly admits that he loves Jhanak and expresses a desire to remain Aditi’s friend after the divorce. Aditi firmly refuses any future contact with him. Hurt and defensive, Rishi claims that Aditi belongs to a rich family while he is a middle-class man, and that is why she wants to cut all ties with him. Aditi is shocked by this statement and questions how he could even think like that. Rishi then tells the judge that Aniruddh mentioned Aditi has a boyfriend now, which is why she wants a mutual divorce. With no further discussion, the judge asks them to sign the divorce papers. Rishi and Aditi sign the documents. Before leaving, Aditi declares that she was always loyal, but since Rishi betrayed her, he will never find happiness. Rishi calmly responds that he still wishes her well and hopes for her happiness.
After some time, Dadabhai asks the priest to fix a marriage date for Rishi and Jhanak. The priest hesitates and asks whether Rishi is ready to remarry so soon after his divorce. Dadabhai calls Indumati and informs her that the marriage has been decided and that he wants her to participate in all the rituals. Indumati makes it clear that she will never accept this marriage, no matter what. Dadabhai bluntly tells her to go inside if she has a problem with it.
Rishi and Jhanak arrive, and Dadabhai informs them that the priest has fixed their wedding date. He asks if they have any objections. Rishi says he will apply for leave from work, while Jhanak hesitantly says she does not know what to say. Indumati accuses Jhanak of pretending as if this is a forced marriage. Jhanak explains that she is not completely happy because not everyone has agreed to this marriage and because she has not informed Parashar and the people from her village yet. Indumati makes a harsh remark about whether those “uncivilized” people will attend the wedding. Hurt, Jhanak asks her not to speak that way and reminds her that they are her family. The priest quietly leaves the place.
Dritimaan suggests that they should give Aniruddh a chance. Jhanak firmly states that she cannot trust him, and Rishi supports her decision. Sanjhbati argues that Aniruddh has changed after the DNA test results and should be allowed to attend the wedding. Rishi says he personally has no objection. Indumati questions Rishi for not waiting for his parents’ approval, but Rishi says he has already decided to move on with his life. Dritimaan sadly remarks that the house was never like this before. Indumati retorts that everyone knows who is responsible for this change, glaring at Jhanak before walking away. Rishi gently reassures Jhanak that everything will eventually be fine.
