Jhanak 10th January 2026 : Can Jhanak Prove Her Innocence?

The episode opens with the police inspector arriving at Chatterjee’s residence, stating that he is there to speak with Jhanak. At that moment, Rishi appears, and the inspector informs them that he is conducting an investigation. Rishi assures the inspector that they are willing to cooperate fully with the inquiry. The inspector inquires if everyone was present on the day of the incident. Dadabhai interjects, explaining that the marriage registration of Dritimaan and Sanjhbati took place that day, which means the entire family was gathered. The inspector expresses a desire to speak with Jhanak, prompting Dadabhai to request Putul to fetch her.

Once Jhanak arrives, the inspector asks her to recount the events of that day in detail. Indumati steps forward to provide her account. Tanushri then adds that Jhanak had offered juice to Aditi, who subsequently fainted after consuming it. Rishi informs the inspector that he has submitted a sample for analysis. The inspector reveals that the results confirm the presence of poison in the juice glass, indicating that someone must have intentionally contaminated it. Dadabhai questions the source of the poison, to which the inspector responds that his team has also visited Aniruddh’s residence as part of their investigation, and now he intends to search Chatterjee’s home as well.

As the questioning continues, Jhanak expresses her confusion about the events. She explains that she prepared juice for everyone but was unaware that Aditi’s family would be attending the marriage. When asked if she felt happy to see Aditi’s family, Jhanak confirms her joy, while Rishi cautions her to be careful with her words. The inspector presses Jhanak for information on how the poison ended up in the juice. Tanushri interjects, suggesting that Jhanak had previously wanted to eliminate Aditi and that she could easily access poison from her medical college lab. Dadabhai reminds Tanushri that the investigation is ongoing and that no conclusions can be drawn yet.

Sanjhbati asserts that they did not witness anything and therefore cannot accuse Jhanak or anyone else of wrongdoing. The inspector then asks Jhanak whom she believes the culprit might be. Jhanak maintains her innocence, insisting that she has done nothing wrong. The inspector challenges her, suggesting that merely denying involvement will not absolve her. He states that they suspect Jhanak could have poisoned Aditi’s drink. In response, Jhanak demands evidence to support such an accusation. The inspector tells her that the proof will surface in court, and he questions whether anyone from Rishi’s family might have had a motive to harm Aditi. Jhanak wonders why they would do such a thing and argues that Aditi’s parents and Sanjhbati’s family are good people. She then speculates that the poison might have been intended for her instead, a thought that Rishi and Putul support.

Meanwhile, Aditi is in disbelief that Jhanak would attempt to harm her. Anjana tries to comfort Aditi by offering her soup, but Aditi shifts the conversation to whether Nutan named Moon. Anjana suggests they avoid discussing such matters.

Returning to the interrogation, Jhanak expresses that since she has no close ties within the family, no one considered that angle and instead accused her outright. The inspector asks whom she is implicating, to which Jhanak replies that she isn’t accusing anyone specifically. However, she points out that Aniruddh harbors animosity towards her, suggesting he might have brought the poison to harm her. She tells the inspector that Aniruddh would benefit if she were to die. When she questions why she is being interrogated in this manner, the inspector explains that they are investigating all possibilities. Jhanak insists that Aniruddh should also be scrutinized. The inspector reassures her that they are performing their duty and know how to proceed. Rishi supports Jhanak’s point, while Dadabhai emphasizes the importance of uncovering the truth. Neelu mockingly comments that no one thinks like Jhanak, while Indumati accuses Jhanak of trying to shift blame onto Aniruddh to evade responsibility. The inspector mentions that they need to locate the container that held the poison and decides to search Jhanak’s room first, with Neelu leading him there.

Meanwhile, Arshi questions Aniruddh about Jhanak’s mental state, suggesting that she seems desperate. Aniruddh agrees but insists that Jhanak’s behavior is extreme. Arshi compares Jhanak’s desperation to Nutan’s, but Aniruddh dismisses this comparison. Arshi then expresses concern that Jhanak has not yet been arrested, to which Aniruddh responds that the investigation is still ongoing. He reflects on the incident, feeling relieved that Aditi was spared from harm.

In a different location, Sanjhbati’s mother informs Kaka that Sanjhbati and Dritimaan will be coming over for lunch. Just then, a police officer arrives to announce that they are there to search the house in connection with Aditi’s case. After conducting their search, they leave, and shortly after, Dritimaan and Sanjhbati arrive. Dritimaan checks in on Sanjhbati’s mother, who admits that the situation is overwhelming for her. She hopes the police won’t return. Sanjhbati offers to make tea, but Kaka insists that she shouldn’t be working. Sanjhbati’s mother laments that they couldn’t perform any post-marriage rituals. Dritimaan reassures her that everything will be fine soon, mentioning that Jhanak has accused Aniruddh of the crime. This prompts Sanjhbati’s mother to question why Aniruddh would want to harm Aditi, to which Sanjhbati speculates that perhaps Aniruddh intended to target Jhanak instead.

In a recap of events, a police inspector discovers a container in Aniruddh’s house’s dustbin. Aniruddh confronts the inspector, asking if he is searching for the poison container. Meanwhile, Abhimanyu warns Jhanak that she cannot escape to her village, as the police would simply bring her back and arrest her.
