The episode begins with a tense confrontation as Kanka berates Jhanak, questioning her worth and background. She asserts that Jhanak, being a village girl who doesn’t even know her father’s name, is unworthy of city boy Rishi. Kanka emphasizes that Rishi was forced into marrying Jhanak, casting doubt on the legitimacy of their relationship. Jhanak, clearly frustrated, retorts that Kanka should stop spreading nonsense. She explains that her primary focus is on her education; she has come to take her exams and plans to move to the city for admission to a reputable college. She mentions that Dadabhai will assist her with her studies, highlighting her determination to succeed.
In response to Kanka’s inquiries about Rishi, Jhanak questions why everyone seems so concerned with him, especially when her in-laws visited. Nutan, sensing the tension, intervenes and tells Kanka to stop questioning Jhanak’s intentions. She expresses her unwavering commitment to staying in Simulboni, urging Kanka to abandon her dreams of driving Jhanak away. Parashar steps in, asserting that the arrival of Jhanak’s in-laws is sufficient reason for the villagers to leave, effectively dismissing the crowd.
Once inside the house, Nutan encourages Jhanak to take a moment to rest, but Jhanak insists she needs to study. Parashar, however, insists that she should prioritize her health and rest for now. As they talk, Nutan presses Jhanak for the truth about Rishi, while Parashar expresses his curiosity about Rishi’s absence. Jhanak, feeling cornered, insists that she has not lied about her situation. Nutan points out that Rishi has not called her even once and is ignoring her attempts to reach him. She demands that Jhanak tell her the truth regarding their relationship.
Jhanak explains that Rishi was forced to marry her against his will and that he already has a fiancée, Aditi, whom he loves deeply. She confides in Parashar that Rishi has faced numerous challenges due to the villagers’ interference. Turning to Nutan, she declares that she has released Rishi from their relationship, emphasizing her desire for him to be happy with Aditi.
Meanwhile, at Dadabhai’s place, Indumati expresses her frustration with Dadabhai, accusing him of complicating Rishi’s life further. Abhimanyu questions why Dadabhai did not reveal the truth to Jhanak’s family, while Putul argues that it was not the right time to disclose such information, especially considering Jhanak’s critical condition. Rishi, feeling frustrated, asks what the harm is in telling the truth. Neelu chimes in, reminding everyone that Aditi is the one suffering, and that should be their primary concern.
Dadabhai defends his position, stating that Aditi is an educated and independent young woman who has the right to reject Rishi for his past mistakes. However, he argues that Jhanak does not have that luxury, as Rishi is considered her husband by the villagers. Rishi vehemently counters this, asserting that Jhanak is not his true wife and that his heart belongs to Aditi. He expresses his intention to marry Aditi once she understands him better, fearing that Aditi will distance herself if she learns of Dadabhai’s visit to Simulboni.
Dadabhai remains steadfast in his support for Jhanak, declaring that he will always stand by her side and help her gain admission to college. Surjeet warns that this course of action could have dire consequences for Rishi’s future. Abhimanyu agrees, suggesting that Dadabhai’s interference is jeopardizing Rishi’s life. Tanushri questions Dadabhai about whether he invited Jhanak to stay with them, to which Dadabhai responds that it is his house, and he has every right to do so. Rishi, feeling undermined, declares that even if Dadabhai brings the entire village to their home, he will leave rather than endure this situation.
Parashar, trying to mediate, suggests that Rishi should accept Jhanak, but Jhanak herself questions what Rishi has done wrong by not accepting her fully. Nutan, reflecting on her own experiences, notes that Jhanak is facing a fate similar to hers. Jhanak, filled with uncertainty, admits that she doesn’t feel she matches Rishi’s status. When Parashar asks if Jhanak has accepted Rishi as her husband, she hesitates, saying she doesn’t know for sure. However, she confesses that perhaps her heart has accepted Rishi, leading her to tears as she grapples with her emotions.
As the episode reaches its climax, the scene shifts to Rishi, who is seen informing Aditi about Dadabhai’s heart attack. His expression is filled with concern, but he is also anxious about the possibility of Aditi encountering Jhanak in the hospital. Rishi hopes desperately that Aditi does not see Jhanak, setting the stage for the unfolding drama.
