The episode begins with Putul inquiring whether Sanjhbati will continue her singing. Sanjhbati responds by encouraging Putul to start her practice, but Putul expresses her reluctance, stating that she doesn’t feel like singing at the moment. Neelu interjects, emphasizing that the more important topics at hand are marriage and honeymoon plans, rather than focusing on singing. She suggests to Dritimaan that they should first go on a family trip to celebrate. Payal chimes in, expressing her happiness at having gained another member on her team.
Sanjhbati then asks about Jhanak, prompting Mishti to go and bring her. Neelu questions the necessity of including an outsider in their family discussions, while Tanushri comments on Jhanak’s peculiar behavior. Sanjhbati insists that she has already informed her family about Jhanak, and they are eager to meet her. Dritimaan calls for Jhanak, who enters and greets Sanjhbati with a warm hug. Sanjhbati introduces Jhanak to her family, asking why she hadn’t come out of her room to join them. Jhanak explains that she felt it was inappropriate to interrupt the conversation between two families. Sanjhbati reassures her that she is indeed a part of this family and encourages her to stay.
Jhanak then heads back inside to fetch some snacks, but in her haste, she accidentally drops the water glasses, causing her to panic. Sanjhbati questions why Mishti didn’t assist Jhanak, while Aditi asks why Jhanak brought so many plates. Kaka tries to dismiss the incident, saying it’s not a big deal. Jhanak insists that she will clean up the mess. However, Neelu criticizes Jhanak, claiming she can’t do anything properly. Aditi further adds that Jhanak should have been more careful. Kaka suggests they move past this small issue and proposes that the engagement take place on Sunday.
Indumati emerges from the kitchen and scolds Jhanak for her clumsiness, prompting Mishti to laugh at the scene. Jhanak, feeling insulted, confronts Mishti, asking if she has no shame. Mishti retorts that Jhanak should be ashamed of her constant mess-ups. Tensions rise as Jhanak accuses Mishti of insulting her, and Mishti warns Jhanak not to speak to her that way, threatening to throw her out of the house. Rishi intervenes, urging Mishti to stop the argument and reminding her that she is in the wrong. Kaka tells Jhanak to go inside, hoping to diffuse the situation.
Sanjhbati’s mother speaks up, arguing that it is unfair to treat Jhanak like a maid, especially since she is a student and was once a daughter-in-law of the Chatterjee family. Aditi counters that no one is treating Jhanak poorly and that it’s reasonable to point out her mistakes. Dadabhai suggests they proceed with the engagement on Sunday, and Kaka encourages Jhanak to participate in all the rituals, to which Jhanak agrees.
The following day, Dritimaan and Sanjhbati return from shopping, and Jhanak prepares to make rangoli. Sanjhbati advises Jhanak not to relinquish her rights to others, but Jhanak asks her to drop the subject. Rishi arrives and inquires about the gifts Dritimaan brought for him. Dritimaan mentions he got gifts for everyone, and Rishi notices that Jhanak seems upset. When he asks her about it, Jhanak insists she is fine. Sanjhbati reveals that she also bought an outfit for Jhanak and encourages her to try it on later. Grateful, Jhanak thanks both Sanjhbati and Dritimaan as they head inside.
Rishi, concerned for Jhanak, asks her what’s bothering her. Jhanak retorts, questioning why he is inquiring about her feelings instead of asking Aditi. Rishi tries to explain that he understands she is upset about the previous day’s events, suggesting she should have knocked on the door instead of eavesdropping on their conversation. Jhanak defends herself, stating that she is human and is tired of being insulted. She reiterates her reasons for standing outside his room, but Rishi insists he has no issues with her. Jhanak, however, refuses to believe him, expressing her desire to leave for Simulboni right after her studies are completed. She tells him not to speak to her, declaring that there is no relationship between them.
Rishi challenges her statement, reminding her that they do share a connection. Jhanak dismisses this, saying that any feelings they had were a lie. She insists she is busy and asks him not to disturb her as she begins to make rangoli. Rishi, frustrated, storms inside, leaving Jhanak in tears as she recalls the moments they shared, with the melancholic song “Tanha Sa Dil Hai Mera” playing in the background.
Meanwhile, Arshi discusses Sanjhbati and Dritimaan’s impending marriage with Aniruddh. She praises Sanjhbati’s intelligence and mentions the gifts she bought for them. Aniruddh agrees that gifts are a nice gesture but shifts the conversation to rumors he has heard about Sanjhbati’s mother having an extramarital affair, noting that the Chatterjee family seems unaffected by it. He expresses his frustration about Jhanak, who he claims has been blackmailing him, warning that if she goes to the media, it could jeopardize his business. He reflects on Jhanak’s connection to Parashar and questions why he should have to suffer because of her.
Arshi presses him for his plan, and Aniruddh ominously mentions that something significant will occur the next day—an accident that could result in someone’s death. Arshi’s excitement grows, and she asks if Aditi will be safe. Aniruddh reassures her that he has given specific instructions to ensure Aditi’s safety. Arshi inquires whether he plans to eliminate Jhanak, to which Aniruddh replies that he is working on solving the issue.
Later, Dritimaan distributes outfits to his family members. Sanjhbati notices Rishi’s serious demeanor and asks him what’s wrong. Rishi brushes it off, saying he is fine. Indumati questions Dritimaan about the expensive saree he brought her, while Dadabhai comments that he already has plenty of outfits. Dritimaan instructs Putul to fetch Jhanak, but Tanushri interrupts, suggesting that Dritimaan should prioritize giving gifts to family first. Dritimaan insists that he wants to treat Jhanak as part of the family. Putul heads off to find Jhanak, while Sanjhbati wonders aloud why Tanushri seems upset. Tanushri reminds everyone that Jhanak was once the daughter-in-law of the house and urges Aditi to accept this reality. Aditi retorts that she shouldn’t have to accept it when the marriage was forced upon her. Sanjhbati counters that Aniruddh took Jhanak’s signature, indicating that the marriage did indeed exist. Aditi argues that everyone should face their own problems independently.
Putul eventually finds Jhanak and urges her to come downstairs, but Jhanak refuses. In response, Putul grabs her arm and drags her along, determined to bring her into the family gathering.
**Precap:** Rishi approaches Jhanak, presenting her with a saree. Aditi scolds him for this gesture, but Rishi firmly states that he can buy anything he wants for his family.
