The episode opens with a tense confrontation between Aditi and Rishi. Aditi asks Rishi whether it truly matters to him if she continues to live in his house, especially since Jhanak will still be there regardless of her decision. Rishi, clearly frustrated, responds that he can no longer tolerate Aditi’s threats. He bluntly tells her that if she wishes to leave, she can return to her father’s house. Aditi is taken aback and questions why Jhanak should remain in her in-laws’ home. She argues that she cannot simply stay silent while Jhanak insults her parents. Sanjhbati, attempting to mediate, interjects that Jhanak is not the type of person to disrespect anyone without a valid reason. At this point, a nurse in the room urges everyone to keep their voices down and maintain some decorum.
In another part of the house, Jhanak introduces her friends Dritimaan and Sanjhbati to Parashar, expressing her gratitude for how well they treat her. However, Parashar warns her not to place too much trust in city people, suggesting that their intentions may not be pure. Jhanak counters his concerns by asserting that there are indeed some individuals who know how to love genuinely. Parashar then proposes that Jhanak should accompany him back to the village, but Sanjhbati quickly points out that if Jhanak goes to the village, she won’t be able to continue her studies. Parashar insists that Jhanak’s well-being is his top priority, emphasizing that her safety comes first. Aniruddh chimes in, noting that Jhanak is Parashar’s daughter, which explains his deep concern for her welfare.
Parashar expresses that, despite not being Jhanak’s biological father, he considers her his daughter. He then turns to Aniruddh, accusing him of failing to fulfill his responsibilities as Jhanak’s father. Parashar reminds Aniruddh that Nutan never begged him for anything and that they have raised Jhanak to be strong and capable of fighting for her rights. He warns Aniruddh that the truth about his actions will eventually be revealed to the world.
Jhanak then confronts Parashar, explaining that Aniruddh’s insults towards Nutan forced her to react. Aniruddh, unyielding, asks her if she believes he is afraid of her. Jhanak boldly states that she is prepared to tell the truth to everyone. Arshi, another family member, suggests to Aniruddh that the current chaos stems from his decision to bring Nutan from Kashmir into their lives. Rishi, feeling protective, interjects and asks Arshi not to compare him to Aniruddh, stating that Aniruddh has already ruined Nutan’s life and is now attempting to do the same to Jhanak. Aniruddh, sensing the tension, provocatively questions Rishi about his intentions towards Jhanak, implying that Rishi’s feelings may complicate matters.
Aditi, feeling cornered, asks Rishi what he truly wants. Rishi clarifies that his primary concern is for Aniruddh to show respect towards Jhanak. He delivers a stern warning to Aniruddh, insisting that he must never disrespect Jhanak again. Dritimaan, observing the escalating tensions, questions why Aniruddh is making the situation more complicated. Sanjhbati adds that Aniruddh and Arshi have never treated Jhanak with the kindness she deserves. Aniruddh, defensive, argues that he cannot remain silent while Jhanak attempts to ruin Aditi’s life, claiming that Jhanak is only after his wealth, which he believes rightfully belongs to Aditi.
Dhamu, another family member, accuses Aniruddh of greed, further inflaming the situation. Parashar then reminds Aniruddh of his past marriage to Nutan, highlighting a night they spent together in Simulboni. Jhanak, emboldened, declares that she will fight for her rights. Arshi, with a mocking tone, challenges Jhanak to do just that, suggesting that she could easily separate Rishi from Aditi. She implies that Jhanak’s behavior mirrors her mother’s. Rishi, however, encourages Jhanak to stand her ground and assures her of his support. Aditi, feeling betrayed, questions Rishi if he is abandoning her for Jhanak. Rishi insists that he never said such a thing and emphasizes that everyone deserves to know the truth. He pleads with Parashar not to take Jhanak away, promising to protect her.
Meanwhile, a separate plot unfolds as Dadabhai instructs a police inspector to begin an investigation into the recent fire accident, which he believes was a deliberate attempt on Jhanak’s life. Putul, another character, expresses her concern that someone has tried to kill Jhanak. Neelu, dismissing the gravity of the situation, suggests that Jhanak’s family is overreacting because she is merely a maid. Abhimanyu questions who would stand to gain from harming someone like Jhanak. The police inspector inquires about the catering service, and Dadabhai informs him that Aniruddh was the one who hired them. The inspector expresses a desire to speak with Jhanak, and Putul reassures him that she will be home soon. The inspector also mentions that he will need to question the Chatterjees about why Jhanak was staying with them, to which Abhimanyu responds that they were simply providing her with shelter.
Dadabhai shares all relevant information with the police inspector, while Neelu reminds him that Aditi is the daughter-in-law of the house. The inspector acknowledges Dadabhai’s honesty and suggests that there appears to be a motive behind the attempt on Jhanak’s life. Abhimanyu, frustrated, asks why Dadabhai seems unconcerned about Aditi and Rishi’s relationship amidst all this chaos. Dadabhai defends Aditi, stating that she is not responsible for Aniruddh’s mistakes.
Later, Neelu reaches out to Aniruddh to update him on the situation, informing him that the police are investigating the catering service. Aniruddh calmly asserts that the catering service will not provide any incriminating information. Neelu warns him that he has become the prime suspect in the investigation. Aniruddh coolly responds that the law requires evidence, not mere conjecture. Neelu advises him to remain vigilant, and Aniruddh thanks her for the information, assuring her that he knows how to handle the situation before ending the call. He then shares the details with Arshi.
In another scene, Aditi confronts Rishi about his apparent support for Jhanak, accusing him of shamelessly siding with her instead of standing by his wife. She vows not to let him or Jhanak get away with their actions and chastises Rishi for opposing Aniruddh. Rishi tries to empathize with Aditi, explaining that this is not a personal conflict between them, but rather a struggle between Jhanak and Aniruddh, given the wrongs Aniruddh has committed. Aditi, frustrated, insists that Aniruddh has done nothing wrong and demands that Rishi throw Jhanak out of the house. Rishi firmly states that he will not comply with Aditi’s demand, leading to Aditi declaring her intention to remove Jhanak herself since she was the one who brought her into their home. Rishi stands his ground, asserting that Jhanak will not be leaving.
In the recap, Jhanak takes a bold step by addressing journalists, declaring that Aniruddh is her father and has betrayed Nutan. She states that she is prepared to prove her claims through a DNA test, while Aniruddh vehemently denies her allegations, insisting that Jhanak is lying.
