The episode opens with a tense atmosphere as Aditi confronts Parashar. She asks him why he expected Rishi to come to the village to take care of Jhanak. Parashar, taken aback by her assertiveness, inquires about her identity. Aditi confidently replies, “I am Rishi’s future wife.” This declaration hangs in the air, prompting Rishi to step in and clarify the situation. He tells Parashar that he never accepted the forced marriage with Jhanak, nor does he consider her his wife.
Kanka, sensing the escalating tension, questions Rishi about what Jhanak was doing in his house. In response, Rishi reveals that Jhanak had been living there as a maid. He explains that she took this decision because the villagers had forced her to accompany him. Rishi’s voice is filled with frustration as he emphasizes that Aditi is his fiancée, and he intends to marry her once Dadabhai is discharged from the hospital.
Parashar, however, is unmoved by Rishi’s claims. He asserts that Jhanak’s marriage to Rishi has already taken place, and it doesn’t matter whether Rishi accepts it or not. Rishi, feeling cornered, insists that he only married Jhanak to save his own life from the dire consequences of the villagers’ actions. He shifts the blame onto the villagers, expressing his resentment and frustration. He tells Parashar that he will definitely marry Aditi, despite the circumstances.
Putul, who has been listening quietly, interjects, urging Rishi to stop the argument. Rishi, feeling justified, retorts that he is merely stating the truth. He recounts the traumatic experience he endured in Simulboni, reminding Nutan that he had already informed everyone about his fiancée. He implores Parashar to understand the extent of his suffering due to this forced marriage, explaining how it has jeopardized his job security. Rishi acknowledges that while he is grateful to Jhanak for saving Dadabhai’s life, she will never accept that he loves Aditi and intends to marry her. With a sense of finality, he tells Parashar to take Jhanak back to Simulboni.
Just then, Dadabhai enters the scene, his presence commanding attention. He taunts Rishi, stating that it doesn’t matter whether Rishi accepts Jhanak or not; she is now his daughter. Dadabhai declares that Jhanak will remain in their house, regardless of Rishi’s feelings. He coldly suggests that if Rishi has a problem with this arrangement, he should find another place to live. Both Rishi and Aditi are left in shock, unable to process Dadabhai’s words. Rishi, feeling betrayed, responds bitterly, telling Dadabhai to enjoy his new daughter. He storms out of the room, taking Aditi with him, leaving a heavy silence in their wake.
Meanwhile, in a different setting, a senior police officer instructs his subordinate to summon Jhanak for Rishi’s inquiry. He implies that Rishi could save his job if he were to accept Jhanak as his wife, highlighting the pressure mounting on Rishi.
The next day, the doctor advises Dadabhai to be cautious with his diet, emphasizing the importance of his health. Rishi mentions that Aniruddh has sent a car for them, ensuring a comfortable journey home. Abhimanyu, curious about the ongoing situation, asks Rishi about the meeting he has scheduled. Rishi responds that he will attend it tomorrow. Aditi, eager to assist, shares that she has spoken to Aniruddh for help regarding their predicament. Dadabhai, overhearing their conversation, inquires about the details, but Rishi deflects, suggesting they discuss it at home. They prepare to leave, but not before a police officer calls Jhanak, instructing her to come the following day to provide a statement in Rishi’s case.
Later, Dadabhai expresses concern about Jhanak’s whereabouts. His family urges him not to dwell on her, but Dadabhai insists that Jhanak is his responsibility. Aditi, watching the exchange, comments that Dadabhai won’t easily forget Jhanak, to which Dadabhai agrees. He reflects on Jhanak’s pure heart, while Rishi, frustrated, laments that he has to face an inquiry because of her actions.
In a poignant moment, Jhanak arrives at the temple, seeking solace and refuge. She asks the priest for permission to stay there, which he grants. Alone, she prays fervently to God for Rishi’s job security and happiness, vowing to fulfill her responsibilities as a wife, despite the turmoil surrounding their relationship.
