The episode opens with Tanushri confronting Rishi, accusing him of losing his character due to Jhanak’s presence in their lives. She asserts that Jhanak is trying to prove herself as a suitable replacement for Aditi in the household, labeling her as selfish and greedy. Tanushri insists that Jhanak only knows how to infiltrate homes and create chaos. In response, Jhanak defends herself, stating that she is not like that and that Aditi would never have become the daughter-in-law of this house if she hadn’t signed the necessary documents. She questions whether she has ever asked for anything from them, emphasizing that her poverty does not justify their accusations against her. Rishi intervenes, urging Jhanak to calm down, and reassures her of his unwavering support. He encourages her to focus on her fight and not be distracted by the negativity around her.
The following day, Sanjhbati notices that Jhanak has not yet left for college. Jhanak responds that she still has time to get there. Dadabhai comments that Neelu is assigning too much work to Jhanak, and Neelu retorts that she does not have a maid to help her. Dadabhai insists that everyone should remember Jhanak is a student, questioning why Mishti is not held to the same standard. Jhanak asks him to drop the subject, but Neelu defends her sister, stating that Mishti is her sibling. Dritimaan steps in, urging Neelu to be sensible, and agrees with Dadabhai’s point. Indumati scolds Dritimaan for speaking out of turn, indicating a rift in family dynamics.
Abhimanyu enters the conversation, mocking Jhanak for coming in as a maid and now aspiring to be treated like a queen. Jhanak retaliates, questioning why she is being blamed for the issues between Rishi and Aditi. She expresses her frustration at being judged alongside Nutan, her mother. She declares that she knows who Nutan was and will not tolerate any insults directed at her mother. Just then, Rishi arrives, announcing his hunger. Dadabhai hands Rishi a letter, which he discovers is a court notice related to three cases: fire accidents, DNA tests, and signature fraud.
Abhimanyu accuses Rishi of not allowing Aniruddh to live peacefully. Indumati presses Rishi to admit that he does not wish to live with Aditi, suggesting that his support for Jhanak stems from this desire. Rishi counters that he is simply supporting the truth. Sanjhbati comes to Jhanak’s defense, leading Neelu to question why she is siding with Jhanak. Sanjhbati explains that she can discern right from wrong, which is why she has chosen to support Jhanak. Neelu retorts, questioning when it became acceptable to accuse a respected person like Aniruddh. Dritimaan argues that it is not their place to decide and insists that the court should have the final say. He adds that if Jhanak was coerced into signing documents while hospitalized, that act was inhumane.
Indumati interjects, stating that Jhanak’s marriage was forced, and even Rishi did not accept it. Tanushri claims that they never expected Jhanak to try to disrupt Aditi and Rishi’s marriage. She accuses Jhanak of ruining Rishi’s married life. In a moment of vulnerability, Jhanak expresses her desire to leave, stating that she cannot endure the constant insults and that she has her self-respect to uphold. She pleads with Rishi to let her go, insisting that this is her fight and she will handle it her way.
Dadabhai firmly tells Jhanak that she will not leave; instead, she will stay and fight for her rights. Rishi agrees with Dadabhai, instructing Jhanak to stop doing household chores, which he believes are interfering with her studies. Tanushri questions how Rishi can make such decisions. Rishi explains that it is affecting Jhanak’s education, and that is why he feels compelled to intervene. Abhimanyu asks if Jhanak will be allowed to stay in the house freely, to which Jhanak responds that she will continue to stay and work.
Meanwhile, Aniruddh shows Aditi the court notice, and Arshi comments that it is a gift from Rishi, vowing to take revenge on him. Aditi appears unfazed, telling them to proceed with whatever they plan. Arshi mentions that Aniruddh has hired a reputable lawyer while pointing out that Jhanak lacks the funds to hire one herself. Aniruddh dismisses any regrets about his actions, claiming that Jhanak is merely playing the victim. Arshi argues that Jhanak has gained courage because of Rishi, prompting Aditi to state that this is why she left Rishi’s house. Aniruddh contemplates how the caterer team leader will not tell the truth in court, while Aditi questions what evidence Rishi has against them. Aniruddh reassures her that he is not worried about Jhanak.
Arshi warns Aniruddh that Rishi is a police officer with connections that could influence the court’s outcome. Aniruddh remains confident that his lawyer will manage everything. Aditi inquires about the court date, and Aniruddh reveals it is set for the following day. Aditi expresses concern over Jhanak, stating that her life has been ruined because of her. Arshi insists that nothing is ruined, instead placing blame on Aniruddh for everything that has transpired. Aniruddh defends himself, stating that he has done nothing wrong, and emphasizes that he must defeat Jhanak.
Back at the household, Rishi tells Jhanak that they need to hire a lawyer. Abhimanyu mocks Rishi, who insists that Jhanak cannot win the case without legal representation. Jhanak questions whether Rishi believes she cannot fight in court, to which he responds that she would struggle against Aniruddh’s lawyer. Tanushri chimes in, asserting that she believes Aniruddh has done nothing wrong and that Jhanak is lying. Rishi warns against blindly trusting anyone, while Tanushri claims that Jhanak is merely spinning stories to appear credible in court. Rishi insists that the court should determine the truth. Abhimanyu reiterates that Jhanak cannot win against Aniruddh, but Rishi stands firm, stating that the truth will ultimately prevail. Overwhelmed, Jhanak begins to cry.
Neelu takes the opportunity to taunt Jhanak for her tears, but Jhanak retorts that Neelu cannot understand her struggles. She expresses the deep pain of fighting against her own father, revealing that her father’s refusal to accept her has left her feeling utterly rejected. Dadabhai steps in, offering Jhanak a comforting hug, showing his support during this difficult time.
In the preview for the next episode, Rishi reassures Jhanak that he has spoken to her lawyer and advises her not to fear the questions posed by Aniruddh’s legal team, setting the stage for the upcoming court battle.
