Jhanak 28th January 2026: Rishi Pities Jhanak!

The episode opens with Abhimanyu expressing his frustration towards Rishi for involving Jhanak in a family discussion. Rishi insists that he wants to speak openly in front of Jhanak, but Tanushri interjects, stating that Jhanak is not a member of their family and that she disapproves of Rishi discussing personal matters in her presence. Neelu adds that Rishi has brought Jhanak into their home as a maid, and just because she is pursuing her studies, it does not elevate her status in their eyes. She firmly tells Rishi that Jhanak will always be considered an outsider by them.

Putul, however, expresses her intention to bring Jhanak into the conversation, and she goes inside to fetch her. Meanwhile, Rishi declares that he wants to discuss his future. Indumaati responds by asserting that Rishi and Aditi’s divorce will not happen, to which Rishi counters, asking her not to make such decisions on his behalf.

Putul returns with Jhanak, and Rishi boldly states his desire to marry her. Tanushri quickly dismisses this possibility, and Jhanak agrees with her, telling Rishi that he is wrong for wanting a divorce. She questions why he is dragging her into the conflict between him and Aditi, emphasizing that while Rishi can make choices about his life, she will not marry him. Neelu further insists that Jhanak should refrain from making statements about marriage, asserting that she cannot marry Rishi. Jhanak responds by expressing her unwillingness to stay in the situation and questions why she is being blamed for everything. Indumati reprimands Jhanak for speaking out of turn, accusing her of revealing her true nature.

Rishi encourages Jhanak’s self-advocacy, stating that it would be beneficial if she stands up for herself. He expresses a desire for a mutual divorce and asserts his readiness to fight for it, confident that he can prove in court that there is no real relationship between him and Aditi. He reveals that Aditi is his second wife and believes she will not accept this situation. Rishi accuses Aniruddh of deceiving both him and Jhanak, leading to their separation. Tanushri, incredulous, questions Rishi’s sanity and challenges him about his supposed love for Aditi. Rishi explains that his feelings for Aditi have changed due to her treatment of Jhanak, and he acknowledges his first marriage to Jhanak. Jhanak pleads with him to stop and not ruin everything further, to which Rishi responds that he is trying to resolve the issues at hand.

Indumati sarcastically remarks that Rishi has suddenly remembered his connection to Jhanak, and Dadabhai points out that at least Rishi acknowledges it now. Tanushri warns Rishi that if he pursues a relationship with Jhanak, he will sever ties with his family. Rishi questions what he has done wrong, asserting that he has fulfilled his responsibilities as a son and that his family can choose to break those ties if they wish.

Sanjhbati interjects, stating that it is ultimately Rishi’s decision whether to accept his first marriage. Rishi argues that Jhanak has nothing, just as Aditi does, and questions what is wrong with wanting to give his name to Jhanak. He insists that he is acknowledging his marriage to Jhanak because they are already married. Sanjhbati suggests that Aditi should end her relationship with Rishi, highlighting how Aniruddh forced Jhanak to sign the marriage papers without Rishi’s consent.

Rishi defends the validity of his marriage to Jhanak, insisting that it was consensual and not coerced. Abhimanyu mocks Rishi for his claims, while Indumati accuses him of being inconsistent in his statements. Rishi expresses gratitude to Jhanak for saving his life and states that he does not want her to suffer a fate similar to Nutan’s. He declares that this is his final decision and that he will leave the house with Jhanak if anyone opposes it.

Sanjhbati and Dritimaan express their support for Rishi’s decision, and Putul shares her happiness regarding the situation. However, Tanushri remains adamant that she will never accept Rishi’s marriage to Jhanak. Abhimanyu reiterates that Rishi has already humiliated the family due to Jhanak’s presence and that they cannot view her as a daughter-in-law since she was brought into their home as a maid. He announces that neither he nor his wife will accept the marriage, and Indumati concurs. Rishi, seeking clarity, asks for Dadabhai’s opinion, and Dadabhai expresses his hope for Rishi and Jhanak’s happiness, embracing Jhanak warmly.

In a parallel scene, Aditi questions Anjana about Aniruddh and Nutan’s relationship. Anjana provides Aditi with all the details, prompting Aditi to wonder why Arshi did not share this information with her. Aditi confronts Arshi, expressing her desire to understand the truth rather than seek revenge. Aniruddh assures Aditi that he will create a new life for her, but Aditi insists that she will make her decision only after learning the complete truth.

Meanwhile, Banumati speaks to Indranath, sensing that he is still preoccupied with thoughts of Ankush. Indranath admits that he cannot forget the past, and Banumati reminds him of all he did for Ankush despite the outcome. Indranath praises Jhanak, acknowledging her worth.

In the upcoming scenes, Rishi confronts Jhanak, questioning why she seems to be hindering his pursuit of happiness. Jhanak responds by asserting that he will find happiness with Aditi. Rishi presses her to clarify her feelings, asking her directly if she loves him. Jhanak, frustrated, asks how many times she must declare her love for him.
