Jhanak, however, responds with laughter, seemingly dismissing his declaration. Rishi, taken aback, asks if she believes he is joking about his feelings. In a serious tone, Jhanak reminds him of Aditi, implying that Rishi’s loyalty lies with her. She argues that since he cannot defend her against Aditi, his love is of little use.
Rishi acknowledges his past mistakes concerning Jhanak and urges her to stand up for herself. He emphasizes that he would be happy if she emerges victorious in her struggles. Jhanak, however, counters by urging him to consider Aditi’s happiness, showing her concern for the situation. Rishi insists that truth should prevail and encourages Jhanak to focus on her studies before leaving the conversation.
Meanwhile, a different scene unfolds involving Arshi and Choton. Arshi is adamant that Choton should not meddle in her affairs, questioning why he would believe the villagers’ claims. Choton, confused, asks why the villagers would lie in the first place. Aniruddh steps in, trying to mediate the escalating argument. He asserts his belief that Parashar is indeed Jhanak’s father, but he is equally certain that Jhanak is not his biological daughter. Aniruddh insists that if Arshi wants to prove her point, she should bring Jhanak to confront the issue directly. The following day, Aniruddh and Arshi arrive at Rishi’s house, where they are warmly welcomed by Dadabhai. Tanushri expresses her anticipation of their visit, while Payal inquires about the numerous gifts they have brought. Arshi explains that this is their first visit since their marriage, and Dadabhai comments that they always come bearing gifts. Arshi playfully tells him to learn to accept more expensive offerings. Indumati, eager to please, invites Aniruddh and Arshi to enjoy a meal she has prepared, listing the traditional dishes she has made. However, Arshi informs Indumati that they do not eat the kinds of food she has prepared.
Neelu then calls for Jhanak, who enters the scene. Neelu instructs Jhanak to fetch Aditi, and Indumati echoes this request. Jhanak agrees and goes inside to get her. When Aditi comes downstairs, she is delighted to see her parents. Arshi inquires about Rishi, and Aditi informs her that he is out for an important errand but will return in time for lunch. Indumati assures them that she will bring something for them to eat.
As the atmosphere continues to shift, Arshi demands coffee, scolding Jhanak for standing there quietly. She orders Jhanak to heat the water for her coffee. Putul chimes in, suggesting that Jhanak might not know how to make Arshi’s coffee. Arshi quickly clarifies that she did not ask Jhanak to prepare her coffee. Jhanak, however, defends herself, stating that she can make many unique dishes that the family has never tasted before. This remark offends Arshi, who questions why no one is speaking up in defense of her. Dadabhai intervenes, pointing out that Arshi is also insulting Jhanak, while Abhimanyu comments that Dadabhai tends to support the weaker party in conflicts.
Aniruddh prompts Arshi to share what she wanted to say, and she proposes that Jhanak could stay with them until her exams are over, noting that they feel a void without Aditi around. She suggests that Jhanak could stay in the outhouse, which Indumati agrees is a good idea. Aniruddh states that they will take Jhanak with them today, provided no one objects. Aditi, seemingly unconcerned, asks why anyone would have an issue with this arrangement. Putul suggests they should ask Jhanak what she wants, but Arshi insists that it doesn’t matter since Jhanak is being offered a place to stay.
Dadabhai firmly states that they cannot take Jhanak away forcefully. Jhanak interjects, questioning whether she would be reduced to a maid in her father’s house. Aditi angrily tells Jhanak to be quiet, but Jhanak stands her ground, declaring that she will not accept Aniruddh as her father and has every right to refuse to live as a maid in his home. Arshi presses Jhanak on whether she wants to stay with them, to which Jhanak replies that she did not mean it that way. Aniruddh reassures her that she would not face any issues at his place and would have a separate room. Jhanak, however, asks him not to discuss the matter further. Arshi expresses frustration, questioning why no one is stopping Jhanak from leaving. Jhanak reiterates her disinterest in moving to Arshi’s house, stating that she did not even wish to stay at Rishi’s house, so why would she want to go to Aniruddh’s?
Just then, Rishi enters the house and inquires about the commotion. Aditi informs him that her parents wish to take Jhanak to their home, where she could help care for Bablu and Anjana. She threatens Jhanak with legal action if Aniruddh feels insulted. Rishi argues that the law applies equally to everyone, suggesting that Jhanak could also take legal action if necessary.
Jhanak declares that she does not want to stay there, and Dadabhai reassures her that he brought her to prevent anyone from taking her away forcefully. Aditi announces that she will remain in her mother’s house as long as Jhanak is there. Rishi questions why Jhanak cannot stay, and Aditi accuses him of fighting for someone who is not even part of their family. Payal challenges Jhanak to prove that Aniruddh is her father, but Jhanak asserts that she has nothing to prove to anyone and places her complete trust in her mother.
Abhimanyu suggests that Rishi should stay with Aditi in the police quarters. Eventually, Jhanak agrees to go to Aniruddh’s house, and Rishi tells her that she can stay there if that is what she wants. Aditi, feeling dismissed, asks Rishi if he really doesn’t care if she leaves. Rishi replies that while he has requested her to stay, she is free to leave if she wishes.
