The episode opens with a tense conversation between Jhanak and Rishi. Jhanak firmly tells Rishi that she does not want him to bear the burden of her responsibility any longer, and as a result, she plans to remove his name from the guardian column at her college. Rishi, taken aback by her decision, questions her about what he has done wrong to warrant such a drastic measure. Jhanak’s frustration becomes evident as she confronts him about his choice to keep his meeting with her a secret from Aditi and his family. She points out that Rishi must know he is in the wrong since he chose to hide this truth from those closest to him. Jhanak expresses her desire not to be the cause of any conflict between Rishi and Aditi, and she apologizes for refusing the food he had brought for her, indicating her internal struggle with the situation.
On the other side of town, Aditi is adamant about not wanting Jhanak to study in Kolkata. Indumati, however, reminds her that Jhanak has already secured admission there. Tanushri adds that since Jhanak is not from Kolkata, she will likely get a room in the hostel. If, for some reason, Jhanak does not secure a place in the hostel, Tanushri suggests that she could play the sympathy card with Dadabhai and Rishi to stay with them. Aditi, frustrated, insists that Aniruddh has handled everything regarding Jhanak’s admission. Indumati urges Aditi to ensure that Jhanak does not settle in Kolkata, while Tanushri expresses concern that Jhanak might return to claim her rights over Rishi. Neelu, sensing the tension, suggests that they should teach Jhanak a lesson.
As Rishi enters the room, he overhears the conversation. Aditi informs Indumati that her parents have spoken to Jhanak’s principal, implying that Jhanak will not be able to secure a room in the college hostel. This revelation shocks Rishi, who is taken aback by the lengths Aditi is willing to go to keep Jhanak away. Neelu mentions that if Jhanak cannot find accommodation in the hostel, she may come to live with them, prompting Aditi to declare that she would leave the house if Jhanak were to move in. Neelu tries to calm Aditi, but she insists that while she supports Jhanak’s education, she cannot allow her to study in Kolkata. Aditi reveals that Aniruddh has arranged for Jhanak to attend a college closer to Simuboni, which brings some relief to Tanushri. Rishi, however, is troubled by Aditi’s manipulative tactics and resolves that he will not allow the principal to misuse his authority.
Neelu notices Rishi’s presence and asks when he arrived. Rishi, wanting to know more about their conversation, encourages them to continue. Aditi becomes anxious, wondering if Rishi has heard everything. Tanushri, trying to lighten the mood, invites Rishi to join them for dinner, but he declines, stating he is not hungry. He inquires about the topic of their discussion, and Neelu brushes it off as mere gossip among the women. Rishi, however, feels a growing sense of responsibility, realizing that this is not just Jhanak’s fight but also his.
The following day, at Simulboni, Jhanak expresses her concern to Parashar about not receiving a call from the college regarding her accommodation. Parashar reassures her that he will accompany her to the college, feeling better now. Sakhi chimes in, asking what Jhanak will do if she cannot find a place to stay. Dhamu adds that Jhanak cannot stay at Rishi’s house either, which prompts Parashar to blame Aniruddh for the situation. Jhanak, frustrated, asks Parashar not to speak ill of Aniruddh, asserting that he lacks the courage to face the truth.
Sakhi suggests that Aniruddh will eventually come around once Jhanak proves herself as a doctor, while she criticizes Aditi for being selfish and not supporting Jhanak. Jhanak defends Aditi, stating that she is a good person and questioning why Aditi would sacrifice her husband for her. Sakhi retorts that Jhanak made her own sacrifices, to which Jhanak responds that her marriage was forced upon her. She acknowledges that Rishi and Aditi love each other, but when Dhamu asks if Jhanak has feelings for Rishi, she insists that she does not. Despite her denial, Dhamu points out that Rishi consistently comes to Jhanak’s aid, and Parashar reminds her that she has also helped Rishi numerous times.
As Jhanak receives a call from Rishi, he informs her that the college has decided not to provide her with a room in the hostel, attributing the decision to Aniruddh and Arshi’s influence. Rishi urges her to fight against this injustice and reveals that he has informed media reporters, who will be arriving at the college the next day. Jhanak is taken aback by his willingness to go against Aditi and questions his motives for helping her. Rishi reassures her that he would take this stand for anyone facing injustice and encourages her to protest for her rightful place in the hostel, emphasizing that he stands on the side of truth. He disconnects the call, leaving Jhanak in shock.
Parashar, curious about the conversation, asks Jhanak what happened. She explains that she has been denied a room in the hostel and shares Rishi’s advice to fight back against the unfair treatment. Parashar expresses his support, assuring her that she will prevail and that the true nature of those involved will soon be revealed. Jhanak, however, believes that it is not yet time to expose anyone and decides she will first speak with the principal. Sakhi encourages her, confident that Jhanak will succeed. Jhanak asserts that she has worked hard to earn her place in college and is determined to pursue her studies, vowing to see who can stop her.
