The episode opens with Tanushri enthusiastically suggesting that they celebrate Indumati’s birthday, a notion that sparks excitement among the group. Sanjhbati and Dritimaan quickly step up to take charge of the preparations, eager to make the occasion special. However, Indumati herself expresses her reluctance, stating that she has never celebrated her birthday before and believes there’s no need to start now. Just then, Putul and Jhanak arrive, adding to the lively atmosphere. Dritimaan playfully reminds everyone of Jhanak’s antics from the previous day, prompting laughter all around. Jhanak, slightly confused, asks why they are teasing her, acknowledging her mistake from before. Curiously, she inquires about their discussion, and Tanushri informs her that tomorrow is Indumati’s birthday. She shares a fond tradition where Dadabhai secretly buys a gift for Indumati and takes her to the temple every year. Jhanak, inspired by this, suggests that they should celebrate the occasion in a grand manner. Dritimaan agrees, confirming that this is indeed part of their plan.
As the conversation unfolds, Rishi enters the scene. Jhanak, sensing that Rishi might spoil the surprise, urges Putul not to mention anything to him. When Rishi questions them about what’s happening, Dritimaan proposes that they celebrate Indumati’s birthday at a Punjabi restaurant. Rishi, always looking for an opportunity to enjoy himself, comments that they just need a reason to have fun. Jhanak, however, retorts that Rishi tends to ruin the atmosphere instead.
At this moment, Dadabhai walks into the house, trying to conceal a bag from everyone. Jhanak, eager to go out, asks him to take her to a Punjabi restaurant, but Dadabhai declines her request. Putul chimes in, urging him to take them there, and Sanjhbati and Tanushri quickly support the idea. Jhanak insists that they should celebrate Indumati’s birthday at a Punjabi restaurant, but Dadabhai remains adamant, stating he won’t waste money on such frivolities. Noticing the bag he is hiding, Jhanak snatches it away from him and discovers a saree inside. Curious, she questions him about who the saree is for. Dadabhai explains that his neighbor recently opened a shop and pressured him into buying the saree. Jhanak, unconvinced, accuses him of lying and insists that they should go to the restaurant instead. Dadabhai, still refusing, stands his ground, but Jhanak is determined, declaring that they will go regardless.
Meanwhile, a different tension brews as Aniruddh and Arshi are facing significant issues in their marriage, leading them to consider divorce. Arshi reluctantly agrees to sign the divorce papers, but Anjana intervenes, pleading with her not to go through with it. Arshi confides in Aditi, revealing that she chose Aniruddh out of deep love and a desire to support him. Aniruddh, on the other hand, insists to Aditi that there’s no need for such drastic measures, acknowledging that he has made mistakes too. Aditi, acting as a mediator, encourages both of them to make a decision. However, Arshi remains resolute, stating that she cannot continue living with someone who suspects her of wanting to harm him. Anjana warns Arshi that she might regret this decision when her anger subsides.
Arshi firmly states that she is neither angry nor upset, but rather determined to leave the house soon. In a moment of defiance, Aniruddh instructs Aditi to tear up the divorce papers, asserting that he will not divorce Arshi. Yet, Arshi insists on her decision, urging Aniruddh to stop putting on a show and to sign the papers. Eventually, both of them sign the divorce documents, sealing their fate.
The next day, Jhanak informs Dritimaan that Dadabhai has canceled their plans to go to the restaurant. Despite this setback, she is pleased that they have organized everything for a Punjabi-themed party at home. Dritimaan reveals that he has brought Punjabi outfits for everyone, which excites Jhanak. She devises a plan, but Abhimanyu cautions her that her ideas can be risky, advising her to keep them under wraps. Jhanak suggests that they should all speak in Punjabi when Dadabhai and Indumati arrive, adding to the festive spirit. They all get dressed in their vibrant Punjabi outfits and begin dancing, creating a joyful atmosphere.
When Dadabhai and Indumati enter the house, Dadabhai is taken aback by the transformation, commenting that it no longer resembles a house but rather a dhaba (roadside eatery). Jhanak greets them in Punjabi, but Indumati looks puzzled, admitting she doesn’t understand what’s happening. Dadabhai, too, confesses his ignorance of the language and expresses his fatigue, wanting to rest instead. Jhanak, teasingly, accuses Dadabhai of being stingy, insisting that they need 5,000 rupees for a meal for two. Dadabhai protests, claiming he doesn’t have any money, which prompts Sanjhbati to declare that they won’t speak in Hindi or Bengali if he doesn’t contribute.
In a different part of the house, Sakhi discusses with Parashar the need to teach Arshi a lesson. Parashar, however, believes that Rishi is responsible enough to handle the situation and that Jhanak has already saved Arshi from her troubles. Veer questions how Jhanak could do that, to which Parashar explains that Jhanak is not seeking revenge and that he has heard about the impending divorce between Aniruddh and Arshi. He feels calm, knowing that Jhanak is happy with her family.
In the precap, Aditi and Koushik spot Jhanak conversing with a man at the restaurant. Concerned, Aditi wonders if Jhanak might be in trouble and decides to call Rishi, informing him that Jhanak is speaking to a stranger.
