The episode opens with Jhanak mistakenly believing that Dritimaan is a thief. Upon hearing her speak, Dritimaan realizes that she hails from a village. He inquires about the decorations in the house, to which Jhanak responds by accusing him of being a thief, asserting that he must not be aware of the ongoing celebration. She then calls over a servant and instructs him to fetch some rope. Dritimaan, acknowledging her accusation, admits that she has caught him in the act and promises not to act overly clever. He asks her if today is the day of Rishi’s marriage, which leaves Jhanak stunned.
When Dritimaan questions her silence, Jhanak reveals that the occasion is actually the 40th wedding anniversary of Dadabhai and Indumati. She expresses her relief at having caught him before he could enter the house. Jhanak also asks Dritimaan if he is new to this line of work, as he approached through the front door. The servant brings the rope, and Dritimaan states that he is ready to be tied up. Jhanak proceeds to bind him with the rope.
Meanwhile, Aditi is seen questioning Aniruddh about why he did not bring Anjana along, noting that Anjana is not answering her calls. Aniruddh explains that Anjana is unwell, while Bablu adds that she is currently resting. Aditi expresses her frustration for not being informed earlier, to which Bablu responds that they had hoped Anjana would recover soon.
As Jhanak prepares to confront Dritimaan further, she takes a wooden stick from the servant and instructs him to bring Rishi to her. Dritimaan hears music playing inside the house and comments on his own singing abilities, breaking into a rendition of the song “Mitwaa.” Jhanak is taken aback by his impressive singing and begins to enjoy it. The servant informs Rishi about the supposed thief, prompting Rishi to question how that could be possible. Rishi and others head outside to investigate.
Jhanak confronts Dritimaan, asking why he chose theft over pursuing a singing career. Dritimaan responds that stealing is simply more exhilarating. At this moment, Rishi and the others arrive, and Rishi affectionately refers to Dritimaan as Dadabhai. This revelation shocks both Jhanak and Aditi. Dritimaan beams at his family, who become emotional upon seeing him. Tanushri remarks that she always believed Dritimaan would return one day. Rishi unties Dritimaan and asks Jhanak who had tied him up. She admits it was her, prompting Rishi to call her foolish before embracing Dritimaan. Aditi, still confused, asks Jhanak for clarification.
Neelu approaches Dritimaan, expressing her disbelief and joy at seeing him again, and tears well up in her eyes. Abhimanyu questions why Dritimaan left without informing them. Dritimaan seeks his father’s blessings, and Dadabhai hugs him tightly, expressing relief that Dritimaan has finally remembered his family. Indumati also hugs him, crying tears of joy, while Surjeet inquires about Dritimaan’s wife and children.
Suddenly, Sanjhbati arrives and is taken aback to see Dritimaan. She locks eyes with him, and feeling overwhelmed by the family reunion, she declares her intention to leave. Rishi urges her to stay, insisting that she is part of the family. Jhanak reinforces this sentiment, telling Sanjhbati that she is indeed a family member. However, Sanjhbati insists that she must go. Dritimaan then tells her that she cannot leave without hearing him out first.
Aniruddh questions Dritimaan about why he didn’t inform his parents if he intended to marry someone else. Rishi interjects, advising Aniruddh to refrain from meddling in family affairs. Dritimaan assures Sanjhbati that he will explain everything to her and that she is free to leave him if she wishes. He takes her hand and leads her back into the house.
In a different scene, Kanka expresses concern to Parashar, urging him to seek medical attention or at least consult a doctor. Parashar reassures her that he is merely suffering from a common fever and will recover soon. Kanka, frustrated, points out that Parashar only listens to Nutan. Dhamu then arrives with Lochan, who thanks Parashar for his past help with his father. Parashar inquires about Lochan’s grandfather, to which Lochan sadly replies that he passed away last year.
Meanwhile, a police inspector reports to his superior that he has yet to locate Parashar. The senior officer chastises him for his inability to apprehend Parashar. He answers a call from Lochan, who informs him about his encounter with Parashar. After the call, Lochan approaches Parashar to apologize. Kanka advises Parashar to escape, while Dhamu assures him that he will manage the situation. Parashar then flees just as a police inspector arrives, inquiring about his whereabouts. Dhamu informs the inspector that Parashar is not present.
Later, Ayush calls Jhanak to ask why she hasn’t come to college. He shares some troubling news he has heard. Jhanak acknowledges that she is aware the students do not like her. Ayush questions whether she is at Rishi’s house and if she feels safe there. Jhanak reassures him that she is indeed safe. Ayush expresses his concern for her well-being, prompting Jhanak to ask why he is so worried. Just then, Rishi enters and overhears their conversation. Ayush warns Jhanak that students, particularly Mishti, are plotting against her. Rishi, sensing that Ayush is trying to turn Jhanak against him and his family, decides to leave.
Ayush continues to inform Jhanak about Mishti’s schemes with her friends. At that moment, Dev arrives and questions Ayush about his presence after college hours. He snatches the phone from Ayush, instructing Jhanak to speak with him later. Ayush urges Jhanak to take care of herself before leaving for the hostel. Dev, observing Ayush’s concern, suspects that he might be in love with Jhanak. He then reminds himself that he is aligned with the principal’s side and proceeds to call Mishti. Meanwhile, Jhanak reflects on Ayush’s warnings regarding Mishti.
In the preview for the next episode, Aditi suggests to Rishi that they should start planning for Dritimaan and Sanjhbati’s wedding. Rishi contemplates his feelings for Jhanak, realizing that he loves her in the same way Dritimaan loves Sanjhbati. Meanwhile, Aditi is seen scheming against Jhanak, hinting at upcoming conflicts.
