Jhanak 4th January 2026: Aniruddh Plots to Kidnap Jhanak!

The episode opens with Jhanak expressing her feelings of guilt to Sanjhbati’s family, stating that she feels bad for being a burden to them. Dritimaan reassures her, urging her not to think that way. Rishi then steps in, acknowledging the hardships Jhanak has endured, but insists that those times are over. He reveals his intention to divorce Aditi, stating that after the divorce, he plans to marry Jhanak. This revelation shocks Jhanak, who responds by asserting that she is not a toy to be passed around. Rishi tries to clarify his intentions, reminding her that they are already married, albeit in a manner she considers fake. Jhanak firmly expresses her disinterest in marrying again and warns Rishi not to discuss divorce in front of Aditi. Rishi assures her that he won’t pressure her into anything, but he is willing to end his marriage with Aditi if that’s what Jhanak desires.

Dritimaan reprimands Rishi for even mentioning divorce. Rishi explains that there is already a rift between him and Aditi. Sanjhbati interjects, asserting that Aditi will always support her parents, regardless of the situation. She believes Rishi should not remain with someone who stands by the wrongdoers. Dritimaan acknowledges this perspective but questions why Rishi should marry Jhanak when he can support her without such a commitment. Jhanak tells Rishi that she cannot support him in this matter. Kaka, another family member, suggests that they should drop the discussion. Rishi tells Jhanak that she is free to stay and that they will need to visit the police station the following day. He leaves with Dritimaan.

The next day, at the police station, Rishi informs a police officer that Jhanak wishes to file another case against Aniruddh. The officer cautions them, noting that Aniruddh is a powerful individual and questions whether Jhanak can successfully confront him. Rishi insists that they have evidence and believes that the truth will ultimately prevail. Jhanak explains to the officer that Aniruddh is her father, who has denied her, and that she wishes to fight for her mother, Nutan. The officer states that they can proceed with the case if Jhanak can provide a DNA test report. However, Jhanak admits she lacks solid proof but mentions that several people are aware of Aniruddh and Nutan’s relationship. The officer then asks if those individuals would be willing to testify in court.

Jhanak confidently asserts that the villagers will indeed provide statements. The officer advises Rishi to ensure that they do not break any rules while supporting Jhanak, warning him of the potential consequences if the claims turn out to be false. Jhanak defends her mother, insisting that Nutan is not a liar and that she is fighting this battle for her. She adds that Aniruddh deserves punishment for the wrongs he has committed against Nutan. Rishi supports Jhanak, mentioning that Aniruddh has even attempted to kill her. The officer instructs them to complete the necessary procedures for filing the FIR, and Jhanak thanks him for his assistance.

Later, at the family court, Jhanak confides in Rishi that she is feeling anxious. Rishi encourages her to speak openly and not let fear overwhelm her. Meanwhile, Aniruddh’s lawyer, Mr. Ghosh, spots them and contacts Aniruddh. He informs Aniruddh that he saw Rishi with Jhanak at the family court and suspects that Jhanak is there to request a DNA test from the magistrate. Aniruddh instructs Mr. Ghosh to take action. Mr. Ghosh, however, mentions that the magistrate is his superior and that he will do his best to assist Aniruddh. After ending the call, Aniruddh instructs Mr. Ghosh to stop Jhanak and disconnects the call.

A peon informs Jhanak that she must wait until the magistrate finishes his lunch. Rishi offers to accompany her, but the peon states that only Jhanak is allowed inside. Rishi reassures her to remain calm and not to be afraid.

Mr. Ghosh approaches the magistrate, claiming that his client, Aniruddh, is a respected businessman, while labeling Jhanak as a “cheap girl” making unfounded claims about her parentage. The magistrate, uninterested in the case, dismisses Mr. Ghosh, who then encounters Rishi and Jhanak. Rishi tells Mr. Ghosh that they cannot converse at the moment. Mr. Ghosh attempts to reassure them, stating that he can help because he is friends with the magistrate and can recommend Jhanak to him without informing Aniruddh.

Rishi declines the offer, believing they do not need such assistance. Mr. Ghosh, sensing Jhanak’s anxiety, leaves. Jhanak tells Rishi that she is feeling tense, to which Rishi responds by encouraging her not to worry. Jhanak expresses her fear that the magistrate will side with Aniruddh. Rishi reassures her that the law ultimately favors the truth and reminds her that her victory is also a victory for Nutan.

When Jhanak enters the magistrate’s office, she hesitates to speak. The magistrate prompts her to share her concerns and asks why she appears so anxious. He instructs the peon to bring Rishi inside and offers Jhanak some water. Once Rishi arrives, Jhanak recounts her story to the magistrate. The magistrate questions why she is pursuing this matter now, especially with another case against Aniruddh already underway, suggesting that Jhanak may have ulterior motives. Jhanak insists that her only aim is to seek justice for her mother. The magistrate informs her that he requires proof to authorize a DNA test. Jhanak presents Nutan’s letter as evidence and assures him that her village will provide statements. The magistrate agrees to accept the letter as valid proof.

Meanwhile, Mr. Ghosh informs Aniruddh that the magistrate has ruled in favor of Jhanak. Aniruddh realizes he must take action to counter this development. Later, Aniruddh meets with two men to discuss a plan to kidnap Jhanak.

In the upcoming scenes, Rishi questions Jhanak about her ability to handle the situation. Aditi arrives and taunts Rishi, asking if he has already proposed to Jhanak. She accuses him of having an affair with the maid and, in a fit of anger, pushes Jhanak.
