Jhanak 5th January 2026: Aditi Threatens Divorce!

The episode opens with Rishi taking Jhanak to a restaurant, expressing that he hasn’t had breakfast yet. As they settle in, Rishi inquires about what Jhanak has eaten. She responds that Sanjhbati’s mother had generously provided her with a lot of food. Rishi feels a pang of sympathy, lamenting that Jhanak is facing so many challenges while trying to focus on her studies. Jhanak acknowledges the difficulties, stating that these issues need to be resolved so she can concentrate fully on her education.

Meanwhile, Aditi’s friends arrive at the same restaurant, bringing her along. Ankita, one of her friends, suggests that if Rishi is being unreasonable, Aditi should consider breaking up with him. Aditi expresses her confusion, wondering why Rishi always seems to favor Jhanak over her. Ankita reassures her that Rishi will soon realize Aditi’s true worth. Aditi then asks if Arshi was the one who encouraged them to bring her out. Ankita brushes this off, insisting that it doesn’t matter and that Aditi needs to get out for some relaxation, especially since she has been feeling down lately. Aditi mentions that she has heard Jhanak is now staying at Sanjhbati’s house.

Ankita disparages Jhanak, calling her shameless. Aditi questions how Rishi can expect her to trust Jhanak over Aniruddh, but Ankita urges her to forget about that situation. Aditi reflects on her long relationship with Rishi, asserting that it’s not easy for her to simply forget him. Ankita insists that moving on requires letting go of Rishi.

Back at the restaurant, Jhanak shares with Rishi that Nutan had recommended this place. She reminisces about how Nutan would have enjoyed dining here with Aniruddh, which brings a wave of emotion over her. When Rishi asks what she would like to eat, Jhanak replies that she isn’t hungry. Rishi, familiar with her usual response, orders food for both of them anyway. He encourages Jhanak to talk to her villagers about the ongoing legal case, emphasizing that Parashar needs to come to court. Jhanak expresses her reluctance to go to court, revealing that she would have forgiven Aniruddh if he had acknowledged his mistakes earlier. However, she feels that Aditi has become entangled in this mess.

Rishi points out that Aditi knows Aniruddh is in the wrong but still supports him, and he expresses his disappointment over Aditi’s past behavior towards Jhanak. As Jhanak tries an avocado and finds it delicious, Rishi shares his wish to explore the city together. He asks Jhanak if she would join him after she resolves her current struggles. Jhanak responds that she doesn’t believe her fights will end in this lifetime and urges Rishi to reconcile with Aditi. However, Rishi firmly states that it’s impossible for him, as his feelings for Aditi faded after she insulted Jhanak. Jhanak asks him not to speak like that, and as Rishi holds her hand, Aditi and her friends spot them.

Rishi playfully asks Jhanak if she can’t handle him, prompting Aditi to take a photo of them. She approaches the table and taunts Rishi, leaving Jhanak visibly shocked by Aditi’s presence. Aditi questions whether Rishi was proposing to Jhanak, to which Jhanak shakes her head in disbelief. Ankita criticizes Rishi for his actions, suggesting that he should be ashamed given Aditi’s mental state. Rishi defends himself, insisting he hasn’t done anything wrong. Jhanak, feeling uncomfortable, asks Rishi to stop the confrontation. Aditi mockingly compliments Rishi’s confidence, while Jhanak tries to clarify that they were merely eating together. Aditi warns Jhanak to keep her mouth shut, and Ankita accuses Jhanak of lacking shame for intruding in a married couple’s life.

At that moment, the restaurant manager intervenes, asking what the commotion is about. Aditi seizes the opportunity to accuse Rishi of having an affair with the maid, claiming that such immoral behavior should not be tolerated in the establishment. Rishi counters that he shares a special bond with Jhanak. Aditi questions his sanity, and Jhanak urges her to calm down. In a fit of anger, Aditi shoves Jhanak’s hand away and warns her not to touch her. Jhanak nearly loses her balance, but Rishi quickly catches her.

The manager insists that they take their argument outside. Rishi tells Aditi she must confront the consequences of her actions and encourages her to move on with her life. Ankita questions whether Jhanak is even human, suggesting that her presence is causing Rishi and Aditi’s marriage to crumble. Rishi firmly states that he cannot tolerate any more insults directed at Jhanak. Jhanak reminds Aditi that they share the same father and that Nutan raised Aditi for five years, a truth that cannot be altered despite their current conflict. Aditi retorts that Jhanak is rude and shameless, while Ankita defends Jhanak’s character based on her upbringing. Rishi declares that he no longer wishes to live with Aditi and takes Jhanak away from the scene.

Later, Dritimaan and Sanjhbati visit Aditi’s house. Sanjhbati asks about Aditi’s whereabouts, to which Arshi responds that there’s no point in talking to her. Dritimaan reveals that they have come to invite Aditi to their wedding. When Aditi arrives, Sanjhbati expresses their desire for her to attend. Aditi then recounts the dramatic events at the restaurant. Sanjhbati urges Aditi not to misunderstand the situation, while Arshi asserts that Aditi is above Rishi and his family, implying that Jhanak is more suited to Rishi’s level.

Aditi vehemently states that if she grants Rishi a divorce, he will marry Jhanak, which she refuses to allow. She accuses Rishi of continuing his extramarital affair with Jhanak, drawing parallels to Nutan’s past actions. Anjana attempts to defend Nutan, claiming she was not like that, but Arshi retorts, mocking Anjana for supporting Nutan while living in her home. Aditi demands they stop discussing the matter. Sanjhbati suggests that since Aniruddh and Nutan are not strangers, it’s possible that Jhanak’s perspective is valid. Dritimaan advises against getting involved in the issue. Bablu chimes in, asserting that the truth will eventually come to light.

In the preview for the next episode, Jhanak apologizes to Sanjhbati’s mother, who mentions hearing about why the principal expelled Jhanak from the hostel. Kaka adds that anyone could change when targeted by everyone, leaving Jhanak visibly shocked by this revelation.
