The episode opens with Jhanak announcing her name for both the debate and the dance competitions. Mishti and her friends also submit their names for the dance category. The teacher then instructs Mishti to include Jhanak in their group, but Mishti responds that her group is already finalized. The teacher inquires if Jhanak can perform solo, to which Srishti interjects, mentioning that Thilothama has received dance training from Arshi, implying that Jhanak would not be able to compete against her. The teacher informs them that Arshi will be coming the next day and advises Jhanak not to dance, suggesting that she lacks the skills for city-style dancing.
Despite this, Jhanak confidently assures the teacher that she is determined to learn the city dance style. Thilothama questions whether Jhanak is familiar with various dance forms, while Aayush advocates for giving Jhanak a chance in their group. Mishti, however, firmly refuses. In response, Jhanak decides to withdraw her name from the dance competition and states that she will only participate in the debate. At this point, a senior student reminds everyone to perform well, as they have invited the education minister to the event. Mishti claims they are prepared and mocks Jhanak for attempting to take part in both the dance and debate.
Aayush encourages Mishti to submit her name for more than one performance if she wishes. The senior student emphasizes the importance of giving their best because Saanjh will also be attending, and the seniors will be performing as well. He concludes by mentioning that awards will be given for the best performances. The teacher instructs Aayush to finalize the list of participants and submit it to her.
One of the senior students approaches Jhanak and asks if she is upset about not being able to include her name for the dance. Jhanak replies that she plans to concentrate on the debate, so she is okay with it. Mishti suggests that Jhanak should wait until next year to try after she has learned how to dance. Thilothama points out that she has been dancing since childhood and questions whether Jhanak has any experience. Jhanak shakes her head, and Thilothama further asks if Jhanak even knows what an auditorium is. The senior student reminds them to focus on their performances.
Jhanak then decides to leave the area, but Mishti follows her and stops her. Mishti asserts that Jhanak cannot dance at their level and that she cannot learn everything in just one day. She advises Jhanak to stop believing she can excel in everything. Jhanak insists that she has already stated she won’t dance and will only participate in the debate. Mishti retorts that Jhanak won’t perform well in the debate either. Jhanak questions why Mishti is so concerned about her, stating that it will be the judges who decide her capabilities.
Thilothama tells Jhanak not to speak in that manner in front of them. Jhanak argues that she is a student like them and deserves to express herself. She confronts them about their insults. Mishti dismisses the conversation, claiming it is pointless to talk to Jhanak. She mocks Jhanak for causing trouble on the very first day of college. Aayush intervenes, urging everyone to accept that Jhanak is a fellow student and that it is wrong to insult one another. He advises Jhanak to take care and then walks away.
Meanwhile, Indumati discusses with Aditi their plans for a surprise for Tanushri, mentioning that Tanushri has gone to the temple to pray for Mishti and Aditi. Neelu comments that Aditi is fortunate to have a mother-in-law like Tanushri, subtly taunting Putul for not having a good husband or daughter-in-law. Putul agrees with Neelu, stating that some people don’t even get the chance to live with a good husband after marrying one. Neelu presses Putul to clarify her point, and Indumati tells Putul not to drag the matter further. Putul expresses that she feels like a burden to Indumati, who never supports her.
Neelu accuses Putul of trying to create conflict between Rishi and Aditi using Jhanak as a pawn. Dadabhai enters and informs Neelu that he has brought Jhanak home. Neelu reiterates that Putul constantly insults Aditi, while Putul tells Neelu to stop.
Mishti arrives and Indumati asks her why she appears upset. Mishti explains that Jhanak is the source of her frustration. Aditi advises Mishti to ignore Jhanak, promising to take action if Jhanak does anything against her. Dadabhai asserts that he will not remain silent if anything happens to Jhanak and heads inside.
In another part of the scene, Anjana asks Bablu if he has heard about the events at Jhanak’s college. Bablu nods, expressing disbelief over Aniruddh’s actions against Jhanak, stating he no longer recognizes this new version of Aniruddh. Anjana expresses her sympathy for Jhanak, and Bablu reassures her that they will support Jhanak.
Aniruddh and Arshi overhear their conversation. Bablu confronts Aniruddh about his change, and Anjana agrees, questioning how he could do wrong by his own daughter. Arshi interjects, asking if they want Aniruddh to remain their servant. Aniruddh asks Bablu what is troubling him, but Bablu claims it is pointless to discuss it now and walks away, followed by Anjana. Arshi warns Aniruddh that if Jhanak proves he is her father, she cannot remain in Kolkata even if she is not his daughter.
In the precap, Mishti apologizes to Jhanak and offers her a drink. Jhanak, after drinking, reveals that her husband is Rishi, while a student captures this moment on video.
