The episode opens with a husband and wife taking Jhanak to their humble home. The husband cautions Jhanak that she may face challenges in his ancestral house, but Jhanak is appreciative, noting its beauty and stating she only needs to stay for a short time. When Jhanak offers to cook for them, the husband assumes she comes from wealth and doesn’t need to work. Jhanak clarifies that she is now an orphan.
Meanwhile, Aniruddh and Arshi arrive home, where Shubhankar inquires about the wedding. Arshi accuses Aniruddh of betraying her, revealing she saw Jhanak there as Vihaan’s wife. Bipasha questions Aniruddh’s treatment of Arshi, but Aniruddh silences her.
Back at the couple’s house, Jhanak asks how they earn a living, and they explain they do odd jobs. Jhanak offers to work if she can find employment. She inquires about their children, and the husband reveals their daughter has passed away, adding that seeing Jhanak reminds him of her. The wife echoes this sentiment, saying she sees her granddaughter in Jhanak.
Aniruddh explains to his family that he brought Arshi home because he believed Vihaan and Jhanak were married. Arshi blames Jhanak for running away from Vihaan’s house. Aniruddh calls Arshi a fool for exposing Jhanak, as it reduces his chances of meeting her. Arshi threatens to leave with their baby if he tries to contact Jhanak. Aniruddh questions if the baby is only hers.
Anjana urges Arshi to remain calm for the sake of the baby, but Arshi says Aniruddh is provoking her. Arundati asks them to stop fighting. Aniruddh declares he has already sacrificed his dreams and will now focus on becoming an industrialist, revealing his plans to start a business. Shubhankar warns him it won’t be easy, but Aniruddh insists he will take the right path. He assures Arshi that he won’t leave her for Jhanak because Arshi is the mother of his child, whom he will protect and raise well.
The husband invites Jhanak to stay with them permanently, as they have no one else. The wife adds that the husband will take Jhanak to work the next day, teaching children. Jhanak agrees and says if she earns enough, they won’t have to work.
Aniruddh gives Arshi her medicine. Arshi wonders aloud if it’s difficult for him to be with her. Aniruddh dismisses the conversation, stating that Arshi has won. She counters that Jhanak has won because Aniruddh’s heart belongs to Jhanak. He reiterates his focus will be on work from now on and tells her to accept their present situation before leaving. Arshi is left feeling that she can’t compete with Jhanak because Aniruddh will never forget her.
The husband asks the wife to prepare food, and the wife tells Jhanak to rest so she won’t be tired for work tomorrow.
