The episode opens with Sejal interrogating Jhanak about her siblings, but Jhanak struggles to provide clear answers. Prachi then asks about Jhanak’s academic pursuits, to which Jhanak replies that she has studied a little. Just then, Mehak, Vihaan’s sister, arrives and is delighted to see Jhanak, complimenting her warmly. Prachi inquires about Mehak’s husband, and she mentions he is downstairs, before introducing herself to Jhanak.
Meanwhile, Laal and Bipasha enter the house. Choton remarks that they had just returned from a breakfast party and seem indifferent to family matters. Tanuja instructs Bipasha to prepare breakfast, while Shubhankar asks Laal to go to the market. Laal confesses he doesn’t know how to shop and shares an incident where he accidentally damaged a vendor’s stall, leading to their anger towards him for not apologizing.
Ketki hands Ahaan over to Jhanak, emphasizing that she must adhere to the household rules if she wishes to stay. She explains that while Prachi cooks for everyone with Sejal’s help, it will be Jhanak’s responsibility to cook the next day. Although Jhanak agrees, Ketki chastises her for her lack of knowledge about household duties. Prachi intervenes, noting that Jhanak has not participated in such activities before, but Ketki insists that if Jhanak wants to remain in the house, she must comply.
Aniruddh advises Laal to resolve the earlier confrontation by apologizing, underscoring the importance of following house rules. Lalon asserts that since they are living in his part of the house, they must respect his authority. Apu mentions how becoming wealthy means adapting to Lalon’s rules, leading to a heated exchange with Bipasha, who claims her status as the house’s sole daughter-in-law demands respect. She inquires about Arshi, to which Lalon replies that she is unwell but will help out later.
Mehak tries to lighten the mood by telling Ketki not to intimidate Jhanak, who still hasn’t eaten anything. However, Jhanak insists she is not hungry. Sejal encourages her to eat, but Mehak tells Sejal to let it go, while Ketki orders Mehak to tend to her husband.
Shubhankar invites Laal to the market, but Laal states he needs to prepare for college and will join him the following day. Shubhankar expresses his disappointment about everyone revealing their true nature, to which Laal responds harshly by referencing their financial struggles. Choton steps in, offering to accompany Shubhankar, but Lalon decides that Shubhankar should take the bags instead.
In another storyline, Dr. Sen tells Mimi that he cannot assist her with her issues, but she clarifies that she was merely there to share her thoughts, not seek help. She expresses her regrets and he advises her to avoid repeating mistakes. Their conversation leads to reminiscing about a past incident involving a medal exchange, where she playfully asks why he keeps bringing it up. Dr. Sen confesses his love for her, which leaves her stunned. She doubts herself, but he reassures her and proposes marriage, surprising her even more.
Back at the house, Apu urges Bipasha to serve the food, while Tanuja questions why she needs to serve as well. Bipasha claims she is already doing both cooking and serving.
Ketki mentions she is searching for a groom for Priyanshi, asserting that Vihaan and Ahaan won’t leave the house. Jhanak argues that Priyanshi is too young and still needs to focus on her studies, but Ketki dismisses the idea, stating education isn’t a priority. Prachi supports Jhanak’s stance, wishing for Priyanshi to continue her studies, but acknowledges that Ketki’s decision is final. Mehek reassures Jhanak, expressing her happiness in her own marriage to a wealthy partner and questioning what more a girl could want in life.
The episode concludes with Vihaan informing Jhanak that he plans to invite his friend Aniruddh to her muh dikhayi ceremony.
