Get ready to go back in time with Lee Junho! tvN has just dropped a new poster for its upcoming weekend drama, Typhoon Family, and it’s a stylish throwback to 1997.
The poster gives us a glimpse of Kang Tae Poong (Lee Junho) at a time when life was a carefree party. With his cool highlights and classic ’90s fashion, he looks like a charismatic icon of the era, leaning casually out of a car window. Born into a life of ease, Kang Tae Poong has never known hardship. He’s spent his youth doing whatever he pleased, oblivious to the world’s struggles, all thanks to his father’s booming business.

But a storm is brewing on the horizon. His world of privilege is about to collide with the monumental “typhoon” of the 1997 IMF crisis. Overnight, this free-spirited young man is thrust into the role of president of a collapsing company. His self-centered world is suddenly a battlefield, and the survival of his employees now rests on his shoulders.

The drama’s tagline, “Our youth, unbroken in those days,” hints at the powerful journey ahead. The production team shared that the poster captures Kang Tae Poong’s reckless youth before the crisis hit. His fight for survival, they promise, will not only reflect the fierce spirit of the times but also deliver a message of hope.
Typhoon Family is set to premiere on October 11 at 9:20 p.m. KST.
